2011!

I need a moderator who can do the job themselves, it is not useful for me to hire someone who can't do the job so that I have to hire a second person to do that job for them. (In other words, no, do not apply.)

Don't need to worry about that unless and until we open any other positions. Then there will be plenty of info for you.

What date did you register as a CS member?: September 24th, 2008
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 1450
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: I am and I'm used to coming across content of this nature.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? every day of the week.
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? I don't know exactly how many hours, but my computer is on most of the day, except when I sleep at night and I check CS constantly.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them http://www.straytalk.net/pcs/
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I've lasted more than expected on CS, I'm not a forums person and I rarely get attached to them/the community, but when I do, I'm truly dedicated to it. I've been around from the very beginning and the rules are clear to me and have no problem detecting faults. I'm always eager to help and enjoy it, now that I graduated I have plenty of time for this job too. I'd be glad to do whatever I can to keep CS running smoothly.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) I speak Spanish and English fluently and I'm learning German as well. I think I'm very neutral and don't easily lose my temper, I'm patient and I think I could handle any discussions or situations that come up. I wish I could refer you to someone, but most people in the community I'm part of (petz community) say they've never seen me lose it and that I'm pretty much always calm and level-headed. I believe I could detach myself from the moderation I do and not let things or words get to me and offend me/make me feel bad.

Thank you for your consideration!

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: Nov. 18, 2010. However, I do believe I have been on way longer (two years a week from today). I am also a site guru who knows the rules like the back of my hand.
2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 361. Good enough?
3.Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: I'm not old enough, but I think I may just be THE most mature person of my age as far as reacting to mature content goes. I am very good at finding mature content! You just never see my reports because I'm not a mod, and it usually happens on other sites anyway.
4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?: As much as I can. I get on every chance I get!
5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?: Ummmm I never counted. Lets just say a LOT. From 6-11 on weekdays and nearly all day on weekends.
6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them: No, but I have been a co-admin before.
7.Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?: To help the site become safer for younger audiences that AREN'T COPPA'd. Also to help Tess, Nick, and the rest of the team. Also, I am bullied a LOT. I want to decrease bullies somehow, maby starting online.
8.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?): I am fast to the thought and fast to the click. I have never been at all challenged at school, as I ace any and all tests while doing the problems IN MY HEAD. I'm called very smart by the few non-bullies at my school.

Tess: Aren't you a little YOUNG to be a mod?
Me: Yes, yes I am. EDIT: I've dealt with bullies who've shown me pictures of...er...the place where you kick a male kidnapper. The place "down below".

Oh, to heck with it. I'll apply anyway. You know how old I am, anyway.

What date did you register as a CS member?: I joined the forums on Tue Oct 07, 2008. I actually started playing the site before that, but I didn't realize there were forums to join until later.

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 3870

Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: I'm sure most of the people who will be seeing this will know my age and know that I am indeed underage (by a tad), but I am willing and capable of seeing adult content and other things that may be classified as "disturbing". I'm familiar with them and can handle them.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Currently, probably once or twice a week at most. This is mostly because I only go on to answer trades/PMs/etc right now since I can't find anything here that interests me at the moment. *should revive her old adoptable thread*

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? Depends. Probably 1 or 2, on and off.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them I was a moderator on Shima.Luan's site adoptsomecreativity, which I believe has since closed. I am a moderator on Da-Revolution, however I am only a content moderator there (i.e. I screen deviations and determine whether their content is up to the group's policies/quality standards/etc, which means no adult content on the group. Like I said before, I have to check such things when they're submitted and I'm familiar with adult content.)

Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I've played on this site for several years now and it has been a primary source of entertainment for me. I do have several concerns over the well-being of the site however and it's mostly this which has prompted me to apply for this position... The mods on this site are doing their job but there simply aren't enough, and I feel I could do a good job.

I love this site, but I find myself spending less of my time here lately because there's just too many things I see and wish the mods could get to faster (i.e. art theft, scammers, multiple accounts, racy RPs, etc). I'd like to help it recover from that. :3

I'm aware that I currently do not meet the requirements around the "time spent on site" part. Actually... it looks like I'm going to have a lot of free time on my hands for at least the next several years, for reasons that I'd rather not discuss in a public message. So yeah. @___@ Time! Yay!

Since I've been here for some time and was once staff here, I'm relatively familiar with how the moderation process works. <--- *unimportant statement*

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I have several IRL jobs and all are in a customer-service area. I know how to handle people and I know how to use the amount of tact I possess to make sure everyone is happy.

...I also look after both my parents and 2 younger children.

I speak several languages fluently (Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and English.) I also speak some other languages brokenly but I won't list them here. I can read German relatively well but can't speak it out loud.

I havent been on for eight months so I cant apply, and I'm not the right age but am comfortable with veiwing the adult images and posts, I have also posted more than 300posts. I was wondering when or if there would be another moderator hiring without as strict rules. My best friend (Glint) is also interested and has the same issues as me and the same question. Thank you.

Some beginning things:
Ask me ANY questions about CS and I probably know the answer.
And a post a lot answering questions and stuff ;)

I am under the age of 18, and I've seen a lot one of them being I saw my little cousin being born, I've seen adult movies and that type of thing. I would like to help younger CS users to not be exposed to this sort of thing because they may not know and their parents may not have given them 'The Talk' anyway I feel okay talking about it. It doesnt trouble me

What date did you register as a CS member?: December 9, and I've learned ALOT that CS has to offer over the past 3 months, I also had an old account (cuteblackwolf17) and I discovered it after I made this account... and decided to give it to my friend...
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): 1, 014
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: Yes
How many days a week do you usually visit CS? 7 days a week,
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? at the minimum 5 hours
Have you moderated on any other forums before? Kind of, there was a website called VMK (Disneys virtual magic kingdom) and you could say almost anything, exept for some REALLY bad things. And I would tell people it wasn't nice (if they were saying anything mean) and then report them. But I was not a moderator, and I can't link to it because VMK closed May, 27, 2007...
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I thought it would be a good experience, and I would love to help CS grow...like adding virtual games, selling toys, E.T.C. and helping people with questions (that would be really fun, actually my favorite part!)
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?) I speak spanish, and a little german. I am patient (when I want too...which would be a lot) And okay this is a bit confusing, I'm home schooled but the program I do it through a bunch of kids meet twice a week and learn music and stuff, and peer mediation was one of the things we learned about in one of the classes.

I hope you consider me!

(Sorry I keep editing its because I see words that my computer changes into words that I don't want it too )

i am mature and i take "adult situations" calmly and colectivly.
when a member gets mad at me or rages at me i will not fall into that trap for all they want is a reaction.
i dont take advantage of people and i dont want them to take advantage either.
if i told you a really big secret such as my password i wounldnt want you to tell anyone therefor i WILL not tell anyone any information on other players not even my bestfriends or "tess impersonaters" im not brain dead.

What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 8 months ago, do not apply)

Wed Nov 17, 2010

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)

1309 posts

Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the first post again)
yes

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

everyday unless i am not near a computer without internet access

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

i try to get on as often as posible but i usually visit my RP and peoples trades who have 0 posts or offers.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

um i try to help out but i dont usaully yell at people for doing things wrong just a warning first.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?

i am smart and have a really big imagination, i will help anyone who asks without any thanks in return. i do it because i like to help people. i dont really care if i dont get a costum pet, most people want them; dont get me wrong i love customs and wouldnt EVER trade it, even for 100 banana's. it dosent really matter, some of my favorites; i like to think of them as my own customs and i dont want to take others pets for helping CS i want to trade pets like a normal user.

Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)

i am really good at coming up with new ideas and ways to help this website. im not good at drawing but im good at creating new things and my love of animals. i dont mind if i dont get picked for this position; i just would like to help out people and show my art ideas. i am good at helping in situations or fighting; i am a reliable person and even if people call me names, tease, or are rude i would either confront another more expirenced MOD and ask advice or just ignore the rude comments. i also dont give up on anything without a fight and im very determaned to become a MOD of chicken smoothie. if there was a need for new pets and designs on chicken smoothie, i have great ideas and would gladly help out the chicken smoothie staff even if i wasnt a MOD. im not a push over so if they try to bully me they wont go unpunished, i want chicken smoothie to bea fun kid-friendly enviorment and i like to have this haven to escape all the cusing and inapropreate things. i will do what ever it takes to keep this website kid-friendly, fun, and free of bullies and rule breakers. i wont give speical treatment to my friends in real life; if they bully or cheat by making multiple accounts, if nessisary they will get banned i quit a website because of all the lieing and cheating.

if i dont reach you requirements then that is ok, im fine with being a member i love this website and would do anything to help it grow and expand.
