The Hanson Family!
A father, a mother, and a son that doesn't quite fit the picture. The last name that seems out of place in the small island family, so where'd it come from?

Mainland Visitor!
Marcus Hanson, a bright minded twenty-year old had taken a trip of a life time from his semi-coastal home in Edenton, North Carolina where he'd been attending a college located nearby for simple general courses before he'd move up to a school further away to attend courses to become a marine biologist. When one of his professors had brought up a small class trip to Drohx Cay(*), a little island located several miles from the coast of Tijuana, California. This had been an island of which Marcus knew little about, yet jumped on board to take a trip there for their spring break. It was that trip that unknowingly the optimistic young man with a passion for the sea and it's life would meet what would become his most beloved.

Upon arriving to the island, Marcus and his classmates were a bright contrast to the tanned natives of Drohx. The natives of the Cay had offered kindness to the group of tourists in which Marcus had came with, offering them they're own rooms of their homes for the small college group. He had been placed in the Thakita household, a simple family of four; Cain Thakita(*), Edlen Thakita(*), Marisabel Thakita, and Jehan Thakita(*). A mixed family of different clan roles, Marcus was itching to learn about each aspect of the clan from all of them.

Island Sweetheart!
Marisabel Thakita, a woman of sweet smiles and soft hands, always sitting on the beach with a class. Drohx had been her home from birth to her death(*), where she'd grown into a Manu(*) for the clan's young children after years of mentoring under one of the finest Manu's that Drohx had.

Fun Facts!
*(1) A cay is a low bank or reef of coral, rock, or sand.
*(2) Cain Thakita is the father of Marisabel, the second in command of the Drohx clan (or more so the adviser). His name means clear water in Welsh. A very loving father and husband that commits to spending time with his family. Dotes on Merlyn as his only grandchild.
*(3) Edlen Thakita is the proud mother of Marisabel. An aloof healer of the Drohx clan, she is often silent as she tends to injuries and illness of her other clan mates, even in home she speaks little, yet has a strong bond to her husband and daughters. Extremely intelligent in the world of medicine Elden had begun working with her great grandmother as a young child.
*(4) Jehan Thakita is the older sister of Marisabel as well as a simple fisherman(woman) for their clan, providing fresh food from the ocean surrounding. She takes much after their mother in a strong silent type, yet from time to time she cracks out laugh inducing jokes.
*(5) Marisabel has a strong love of her clan on the island with no intentions of ever leaving so she believes that is her home from birth to death and then the after life.
*(6) Manu is Drohx's word for teacher, in the case of teacher it is one that teaches the children of the clan of their gods and ways of life.
