These numbers are incredible. I really commend the community effort being put into this! Once finals are over and I've moved back home (if y'all are still counting and I will be homein 48 hours) I would like to help by picking up a spreadsheet or two.

At the moment, off-account adopts are being counted.
The only time a pet can't be added is if it's deleted.

Is this how you do it? If not can someone correct me? Sorry, i'm completely clueless when it comes to this kind of stuff xD. I hope it works..

Thanks for the spreadsheets guys, and all the information Nickjr - I'll go through it in just a bit!

So we have now counted a total of 2255 pets, of which 976 were of interest.
The sorbets have equalised except for pink sorbet which is sorely underrepresented for some reason.
The question I have for the community is now, do we keep counting pets or just accept the results we have?
My personal preference is to keep counting until the sorbets start showing 25% each as I think their deviation from the known is an indication our sample size is still too small.

This is our litter count data thus far:

For reference, our sorbet data thus far:

Pink Sorbet 20 16%
Blue Sorbet 36 28%
Yellow Sorbet 35 27%
Green Sorbet 37 29%
Total 128 100%

We know the sorbets had an equal chance at being adopted. When the count first started the green sorbets were well behind and the blue sorbets well ahead. Now we have more data, they've evened out completely while the pink sorbets were left behind. If we count enough Aug 08 pets we should see a roughly even amount of sorbets of all colours. We know all the sorbets have the same rarity. So that's my yardstick for this data collection. Somewhere out there is a set of pet IDs flooded with pink sorbets!

If anybody could explain what is meant by claiming a sheet, that'd be great. Via pm? Then I'd take one and help out. I have some spare time to use up if you need anymore help...
Are you just looking for pets around the range of ID's, then putting them into the sheet? I'm good with Edexcel, I worked with it for two years. So hopefully I can be of help somewhere, just needing to know how to do things

And change the Pet IDs for the range 21001 - 21250 you can fill it out and that would be super.
I am using the Firefox addon "FastPrevNext', and DD mentioned there's a Chrome addon called "URL Next" that does the same thing. They let you go through the pets really quick for counting c:
Then you just write down in the Pet column the name of the pet, spelled correctly as per the examples, and the litter will be filled in automatically.

Sounds technical haha. I have to pickup my laptop from the store up the road, hopefully they have fixed it, but if not I'll buy a new one as soon as possible and sort that

Sorry about the delay of my third spreadsheet. Twice I've begun counting and realized I was doing the wrong ranges. Here's hoping this time I'll actually be smart and double check the numbers beforehand lol.

I'd be happy to start working on a spreadsheet. If someone working on the project could tell me what ID range we're currently on, I could start on a set. ^^
