Once the tom exited the den, he kept in the shadows and wandered a bit throughout the territory. He knew their land like the back of his paw, so he knew he wouldn't get lost easily. At a nice, mellow pace, he passed by some trees, sniffed some herb patches he made a mental note to get back to, and simply enjoyed his little outing. It wasn't doing much to help his headache, though.

"Sure, I would love to," he claimed, dipping his head. He then dug through the pile a little bit before finding a rabbit fit for two.

She thought for a moment. "There's a bit of a clearing in the thinner part of the forest, isn't there?" she asked. Perhaps the apprentice would want to go there.

He turned his head to face her, his body following slightly. "I've always wanted to have kits; they seem like fun," he agreed. Then he heard the second part of what she said. "Yeah, I heard a little bit about that. Sounds like it was all a big pile of mouse dung," the tom claimed, nudging her a little bit.

"Sure!" she nodded before leaning down to pick up the little amphibian with her mouth. "'ea'y 'en you a'e!" she claimed. The legs were wigging around, which was kind of funny. Translation: "Ready when you are!"

Speaking of eating, Quietheart was curious if Thornstar actually ate the prey she had brought him earlier or not. It wouldn't be good for the clan's new leader to already start getting thin or even sick. The grey colored warrior lifted her head to look around for the silver tabby. The she-cat's green gaze searched around while she started making her way slowly to the leader's den if she didn't spot him in the camp. She flicked her fail nervously feeling like she might becoming a pest or something which was the last thing she wanted to be.

Oceanpaw nodded and sat down unsure of what to do. Maybe she could explore the territory, Brambleleaf hadnt told her she couldn't right? Maybe she could even gather some herbs. She padded out of the den and out of camp heading towards the river. She had never been out of camp before.

"That sounds like a nice place to train, though I haven't been there myself" She said with a nod, adusting her posture to look bigger among the much larger cats

The white she-cat shook her head "Yea, That" she looked around the camp for a moment "One day your just a kit, Your brother making fun of your eyes, and next thing you know you and your best friend end up killing him and scaring away your father" She said, addressing her and Badgerpaw in 3rd person to seem dramatic

Sparrowclaw dipped his head in return as Quietheart left before rising to his paws to grab himself his very late breakfast. He scanned over the top of the pile for a moment before gentle pushing aside the still bodies, some that were even still faintly warm he noted, to reach for something that was near the bottom. As he grabbed the vole in his mouth to his displeasure he realized it tasted strongly of mud and earth on one side from being pressed down by the weight of the other prey bodies. He nudged back the other pieces he displaced, and turned to go eat his vole.

Snowpaw - Female - 11 moons - Location: Apprentice Den - Tag: Flamepaw

Snowpaw purred at his enthusiasm. "I'm kinda nervous now that Smokycloud's deputy honestly. I'm probably going to be a warrior soon if everything goes well but I don't want to make him look bad if I fail my assessment or do something dumb." Snowpaw glanced down and shuffled her front paws around.

Bearpaw - Male - 6 moons - Location: Apprentice Den - Tag: Spottedpaw

Bearpaw grasped the other half in his mouth. "O'ay. Wo', 'oo, th'ee!" he bit down on the amphibian on three hoping that Spottedpaw wouldn't back out. The little frog was mostly bones and organs but wasn't entirely unpleasant. The texture was unusual at first but after the skin it was mostly the same as other prey in his opinion. All in all Bearpaw wouldn't mind eating a larger frog if they all tasted similar.

Finally finding the silver tabby, Quietheart shyly approached the tom. "Thornstar? Am I intruding or disrupting?" The warrior spoke gently and stopped about a tail length away from him. Her green eyes searched intently on his face while flicking her tail nervously about bothering the leader again, for the second time today. It wasn't even really the fact he was the new leader, just that they lost their leader not long ago and suddenly he had to be the one to bring everyone together. That didn't mean he wasn't sad too or that he wasn't stressed or scared about the new position. The she-cat didn't want to be too much for him, especially since it was about the same subject once again.

Quietheart noticed the thrush and was glad he kept his promise. Nonchalantly, the warrior sat flicked an ear and said "Hello, Thornstar." and dipped her head. When she raised up again she smiled softly and said "I would like to say I think you made an excellent choice with Smokeycloud. He's a very reliable and noble cat who has experience. I couldn't really think of a better cat to choose for deputy." Quietheart was glad she was able to come up with something random to say. Hopefully it didn't seem too stupid but it was the first thing she couldn't think to bring up.
