Danny looked up as the door squeaked open, his eyes still gleaming like a little kid on Christmas, and let out another gleeful caterwaul. "Another victim!" he cried cheerfully, aiming his water gun toward the girl who had just walked in and letting loose another stream of water.

Ivory let out a shreik as water was sprayed at her, and her owl flew into the air at the boy, talons raised. "Ivy!" Ivory said strictly, and the bird flew back to her. "What as that for?" She asked, shaking water off her hands.

Daniel got up off his knee, holding up the water-gun defensively and prodding Ivory's shoulder with his weapon, looking at her cautiously, as if expecting her to call the bird on him or something. "I am a warrior," he declared proudly, putting a hand over his chest, "bound to defend my fortress!" Yeah, maybe Danny had eaten a little too much sugar cereal for breakfast this morning.

Ivory gave the boy a questioning look. "And your weapon is a water gun?"

Daniel paused for a minute, dropping the gun to his side and staring at his feet. A few seconds passed, and he regained his composure, flinging his hands up in the air. "It's a water fortress!" he defensively, and, maybe a little too desperate to not be pathetic.

"I see, a water fortress. And where is your army?" She asked.

[Runningdawn]

This time, Daniel didn't even skip a beat, throwing an arm wide, showing the whole expansion of the room. "You cannot see them, for they are ninjas... such as I!" Again, Daniel shot a stream of water at her, though of course this was at a much closer range, and took off running toward the stairs, like he was positive now he would be attacked.
