What date did you register as a CS member?:

September 7th, 2009

How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):

This will be my 4085th.

Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:

I'm not very young, but I won't lie; I'm not quite 18. I do think I can be as mature as many 18 year olds, though, and I am willing to risk seeing adult content. I'd rather see it, if I can help by keeping that kind of thing away from the forums. I'm not bothered by that sort of thing easily; I'm sure I could handle it. So please consider this application, even I'm not the right age.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS?

Unless I'm on vacation (which doesn't happen often), I'm usually on CS 7 days a week.

How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?

I've never counted, but I'd guess about two to four hours on weeknights--more on weekends. Though I do tend to underestimate how much time I'm actually on.

Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

I have, but only small roleplay sites; nothing like CS.
For example, I am currently a mod here. There are others, but they've mostly been abandoned.
I have also been a mod for individual threads here, which I can link to if that would help.

Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?

First of all, I love Chicken Smoothie. I spend more time here than on any other site, and I enjoy it. I'd love to be able to help out any way I can. I would love to be a mod here and to help keep CS fun and safe.

I think I would be able to do the job. I don't get angry easily, and when I do I'm sure I can avoid taking it out on any members here. I can look at both sides of a story and make an unbiased decision. I can sort out problems politely, and do my best to explain so each member understands why I made the decision I made--though I understand that they may not agree. I have had people angry at me before over things like adoptables or art, and I believe I can handle that kind of thing well.

I am willing to read through the many posts that need to be approved, and I wouldn't, of course, let through any that are inappropriate, offensive or break forum rules. I think I am responsible enough to take care of editing/deleting/locking posts when necessary, as well as moving topics to the correct board. I would make an effort to tell members why, in some cases, to prevent misunderstandings. I would be sure to investigate any reports I get, including art theft, which I have some experience with. (I have had to find proof when I suspect art has been stolen before this.)

I already read every topic posted in CS Suggestions and Problems, and help out when I can--unless of course someone else has already helped them solve the problem or a member of the staff is needed. I would definitely be able to do my part with problems posted there easily alongside other moderator duties.

I am familiar with the site's rules, and if I did get the job I would be sure to check them regularly so I can easily spot when they've been broken and take the right action to help fix the problem.

I could keep typing forever, but I'm sure you have many applications to go through, and I think I've covered everything you would want to know. Thanks for reading!

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

What date did you register as a CS member?:
March 17, 2009
How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying):
605
Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval:
Yes, I can handle anything you throw at me.
How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
Nearly everyday. The only exception to that is when my sister is on
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
At least over an hour. At longest 7 hours, but I typically stay on for about 3 or 4.
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them
Nope, sorry
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
Well, I honestly love this site and I hate when people ignore the rules because it just makes it more difficult for the rest of us and for the people trying to enforce the rules. Also, you need mods and I would like to help you all keep CS clean and enjoyable.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
I am quite literate and a grammar/ spelling freak. I have time to get on the computer regularly and I use my itouch and my phone regularly to log on as well so I have connection practically anywhere. I like to think that I can mediate well, and I also like to think that I can be calm and collected even when facing terribly rude situations. Like I said before, nothing really affects me; I can handle anything thrown at me and still walk away unscathed. I hope I don't come across full of myself, but these are what I believe to be my strengths.

I think that's everything ^^ Thanks for the chance!
I have missed a lot of pets in the past few months due to some issues that have come up in real life. I am looking to hopefully trade for these pets, most of them are common and uncommon. If you are interested in doing bulk trades, or even just small trades don't hesitate to send a trade! Thank you!

[center]APPLICATON

1.What date did you register as a CS member?: (if it's less than 8 months ago, do not apply)
I Joined Chicken Smoothie on October 28th 2008, though when the equinox changes it says October 27th 2008 (or it could have something to do with the site being on NZ timezone and a day ahead of me).

2.How many posts have you made in the forum (at the time of applying): (if it's less than 300, do not apply)
1,928.

3.Without posting your age, are you old enough (and willing) to risk seeing adult content when screening posts that are waiting for moderator approval: (If you don't know what I'm talking about, read the first post again)
Yes, I'm old enough to see adult material, so occasionaly viewing and deleting vulgar images or posts would'nt bother me too much since I know I am doing it for a good cause. I don't ever want people to have to see anything innapropriate on this site.

4.How many days a week do you usually visit CS?
I visit CS Monday through Saturday on a Desktop Computer. On Sunday and after 9pm (EST) on Weeknights I access Chicken Smoothie with limited PSP connectivity (limited meaning: Cannot copy/paste, and some large or bulk images may not load due to memory restrictions). I may be buying a laptop computer within the next month though, which would allow me to be even more active if needed.

5.How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit?
2 hours 30 minutes on a Public Computer once a day 6 days a week(excluding Sunday). On sunday and after 9pm on Weeeknights I usually keep a browser with the site open anytime when I am home using my PSP (rough estimate: 5+ hrs) .

6.Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them

No, this would be my first experience trying ^^.

7.Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS?
I would like to be picked as a Global Moderator mainly because I like working with people. I enjoy being of help, it makes me feel like a better person and more of a asset to the community as a whole. Chicken Smoothie is my favorite site, and I think I could bring alot of good to the quickly expanding community. Also, I want to make sure that everyone will be able to have a pleasent and fun experience without having to worry about SPAM, bullies, or anything else that could ruin their day.

8.Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) (for example do you speak any other languages, or have you had any experience in peer mediation?)
- I can keep a cool and collected way about myself.
- I'm good at giving advice to those in need, and analyzing situations.
- I'm friendly and outgoing.
- I'm kind and generous.
- I'm good with design work and have a plethora of ideas.
- I'm very patient and will listen to both sides of the story if there is a dispute.
- I'm not easily angered by liars, nonsesne or rage directed at me.
- Once I know my objective I'm a hard worker.
- I'm able to recognize when someone is at fault and would not be afraid to reprimand anyone who is clearly not following the rules.
- I speak some Japanese.

How many days a week do you usually visit CS? Everyday
How many hours per day do you usually spend on CS, on a day that you do visit? 2+ hours
Have you moderated on any other forums before? If so, please link to them Breeding Barn
Now the important question: Why do you want to be a moderator for CS? I would like to be a moderator for CS because I would like to help solve peoples problems and make CS a better place. I would also like to make sure children of any age can feel safe here on CS and enjoy it. I try and help with any problems that I possibly can do here on CS, and I know all of the rules and I would do a great job renforcing them.
Can you think of any particular skills you can bring to the position (this is not required) I know and can read Polish (a little) and Hebrew. I am very calm, and don't get mad easily. I don't hold grudges and I am very polite all the time. I think I would be a great Global Moderator!

Thanks for your time Tess! Good luck with your search to find a Global Moderator! ;)

I will never forgot all of the amazing times we've had together.
Enjoy your new home and promise me this, that you will never forget me, as I will never forget you.

...are younger than 18, or if you're old enough but still uncomfortable dealing with occasional adult images or language. In the past, we allowed members of any age to join as moderators, but recently the moderators have had to deal with an influx of spam bots (this is the first-post approval task which I mentioned earlier), some of which post adult material and images. As it is your job to protect the rest of the site from viewing this content, it wouldn't be appropriate to give you the job if you're likely to be offended by that content. I'm not going to ask for your age, because we don't ask for/share that information on CS, but if you're a member from the US then we probably have your birthdate on record so there's no point in applying if you're 14 years old.

I would just like to Quote this, It says clearly 'DO NOT APPLY' 'If you are under age'. I myself am under age, and I have a high maturity level, But I have been reading through the applications and I have noticed that there are alot of people putting in forms saying they are under age but mature, Tess did not say 'If you are under age you can apply if you have a high maturity level'. she said 'DO NOT APPLY if you... are younger then 18.'. I understand If you believe you are old enough and mature enough to take on the job, but this was not what Tess said, you need to respect this and know that she is asking for 18 and over for a reason, I know it is a let down for teenage users like myself, but it is the way it is, and it is like that for a very good reason. But you can help the forum if that is what you want to be a mod for my reporting art theives, welcome newer members to the forum, and following the site rules.
I hope any underage users will read this and understand that Tess put over 18 for a reason.
Thank you,
Blu-Chan

Edit: Good luck all applying users who meet the expectations for becoming a mod.
