Honeystar turned back to Emberstar. Hadn't she already answered the question? Well, she could answer it again if she had. "Duckpelt gave birth to four healthy kits a couple of moons ago, and we've had a couple of newcomers to the clan. I think I've already told you about Alderclaw," she said.

Birchnose purred. "Well, they can be difficult to care for, but I raised a friend's litter during the leafbare." Her face fell as she recalled the circumstances; the mother had been too sick to care for her kits and had died soon after birth, and the kits had scattered after they had grown up. "I'm sure that they'll all be healthy."

"I'm sure that it will be exciting," said Briarwhisker dryly. While it might be interesting to hear other clan's news, she doubted that anything too exciting would happen.

Thrushclaw was a bit... put off by Jaystar's choice of cats to join them today. It was strange, how she only chose to bring Thistlethorn and Nettlefoot and their apprentices. Now he wasn't opposed to the idea, seeing as the sisters were such kind souls and all, but they've been getting... strangely close with the leader to the point where the leader was looking to them for opinions.. He wanted to say it was just his jealousy speaking but it was still suspicious. Especially the way they were huddled together as they entered the clearing. When they dispersed, Thrushclaw couldn't even get a word in as his mate ran off to see Squirrelstar.... something didn't sit right with him, and he decided it was about time to find out.

Hearthflame stayed at the back of the group, ears flat as he watched his Clanmates run off to enjoy themselves. He on the other hand was looking for one tom in particular. His days weren't getting any better with each passing moment that he was forced to face his mentors killer, but he knew seeing Weaselstorm would make him feel better. Maybe he'd admit these feelings of his because, honestly, holding them in was getting suffocating...

"Oh I agree. Too clean the whole thinking part. But we'll have fun so enough, I know~" Thistlethorn hummed, Nettlefoot nodding in agreement. When Sharkfang spoke to the two apprentices, Bouncepaw laughed as she gently bounced out of the way of his paw. Shiverpaw on the other hand shied away from him. She was still new to this evil thing as well as the gathering and meeting so many cats was overwhelming. So having a paw suddenly swipe at her made her flinch and hide more behind Nettlefoot who placed her tail over the sickly apprentice. "Now now hun, Shiverpaw is off limits I'm afraid. She's quite special to me and I'd rather not have her eaten." Thistlethorn smiled down to her apprentice before licking the tom's nose. "We will as soon as possible. Hopefully sooner rather than later."

We have a new apprentice, Blackpaw, and I'm pleased to announce that Flarepaw has become a warrior, receiving her warrior name of Flarestone. Both are here tonight and we're proud to have them as part of our Clan." His report is brief, but what else is there to say?

Honeystar stepped up next. "Duckpelt gave birth to four healthy kits two moons ago," she said. "We are also very pleased to welcome Dawnstorm and Briarwhisker to the clan. Finally, we have received some disturbing news regarding Streamclan. Aspenfire has come to our clan as a refugee, claiming that the clan has been destroyed. He joined our clan and requested to be renamed, and is now known as Alderclaw." She paused to look at the other leaders. "If anyone knows of this tragedy, we would be happy to listen."

Deerstar padded forward. "StarClan has been generous with us as we welcomed Sedgepaw to our clan after the last gathering," she meowed. "She has started training and learning the ways of StarClan," she meowed, glancing down at the apprentice.

Spiderstar's ears perked up when Honeystar talked about Streamclan. "yes, we know about it too. Whisperpaw comes from there too, and only told us her clan was attacked..."

Finally Sorrelstar stepped up to the edge of the perch. "Beechclan has been thriving. Tragically, we lost our deputy Sleetfoot to the river. But the river is still our friend and Dunpond has taken up our late deputy's mantle. We have found ourselves new cats and welcomed new kits. As well as old kits into clan life as apprentices. Pigeonpaw, Carppaw, and Sandpaw are among you today. I hope they will make good friends among their fellow cats." Even though she had abandoned pretense of simpleness, Sorrelstar still had appearances to keep up. And with that she stepped back.

{Sorrelstar- Leader's Perch, Open}

"Now the two of you behave yourselves. It's your first gathering so make your father, mother, and I proud okay?" "Sure dad- we won't cause any ruckus! None at all!" Dunpond raised an amused eyebrow at his youngest daughter's promise. The ever-present mischievous twinkle in her eyes had not been dimmed at all be the solemnity of the night. Which was good, let the pair of them have their fun. "I'll watch her," Sandkit told his father seriously, as was his way. "Well maybe cause a bit of ruckus- you're only 'paws for so long. Go have fun." And with the playful flick of their father's tail dismissing them, the pair disappeared into the crowd, and Dunpond went to take his place beneath the leader's perch.

{Dunpond- Beneath Leader's Perch, Open}

"I-I don't know?" Sandpaw murmured to Russetpaw. "My stomach hurts andso does my head and you are making my fur hot please don't stare at me like that!" Gulping the chilly air as if that could cool whatever was burning inside of him the apprentice backed away from the others, eyeing the lot of them like they had infected him with some horrible disease. He swiveled round to find a great big tom behind him, only relaxing once it became clear that he was a medicine cat. "I feel nasty and sick and I want to yell and to hide and go find Carppaw but also not and it hurts!" It wasn't the best of diagnoses but it would do.

{Sandpaw- Applepaw, Russetpaw, Ivypaw, Mistpaw, Tigerpaw}

Stupid Sandpaw. Stupid Sandpaw! Tonight was supposed to have been fun! But then her brother had forced her to talk to cats when she didn't want to, and then opened up his stupid mouth and said all the wrong things. She had hit him and he still didn't get it and now she looked bad! She also felt horrible for how she treated him, but for the moment the sobbing she-cat was too devoted to her self-pity to spare time on her brother. Stupid Sandpaw!

{Carppaw- Open}

Pigeonpaw had decided to stick by Malloweyes for her first gathering since Asptail wouldn't take her. The elder harbored mixed feelings on this, on one paw she had ample time to drive a deeper wedge between the apprentice and her mentor, but on the other she was no longer free to do any converting. Cackling and plotting murders would certainly disillusion her little puppet. "It really is too bad Asptail couldn't find the time to spare on you. A first gathering really is a monument. Oh well, we'll have our own fun won't we?" Pigeonpaw nodded enthusiastically up at her idol, who's returning grin was especially patronizing. Besides Malloweyes, Sharkfang was restless. He kept sheathing and unsheathing his claws with great impatience. "Looking for her hmm?" "Of course." "Well tell her the good news once you find her, I have a little one to mind." Malloweyes dismissed her ally with a flick of her well-groomed tail and Sharkfang shot off readily.

{Malloweyes & Pigeonpaw- Open}

"Ahh well," the tom just grinned again, "plenty in Beechclan to tide me over. Just listen to your mentor kid- she know's what's worst for you." He resheathed his claws and licked Thistlethorn's cheek in return of her gesture. "I'd do anything in my power for you my little devil. And soon, there's going to be an awful lot of it."

{Sharkfang- Nettlefoot & Thistlethorn}

"Honeyfur!" Momomoon rose to her paws as soon as she saw her friend, stepping towards her and nuzzling the medicine cat in greeting. Frostsong made an, "Oooh," noise but the she-cat just giggled and stuck her tongue out at him. "This is Frostsong! He's my best friend! Frostsong this is Honeyfur she's uh-" "The she-cat you were telling me about I presume?" The white tom had a mischievous grin on his muzzle, and while Momomoon flushed in protest she didn't actually mind.
