Actually, the even funnier part was that Rooksong was in fact one of the cats that Tigerleaf chased.

She probably didn't want to kill him because of his low self-confidence. She gave him a chance to live, and as a result he was able to undergo character development and eventually win.

Rooksong is probably the nicest cat in the game for dying for her sister on several occasions and giving a cat with low self-esteem another chance to live.
