xxmavis woke up as the sun shined in the she-wolf's eyes. it was a beautiful morning, a bit chilly as always, but beautiful and seemed promising. jumping on the highest rock she could get on from her small cave, she howled. every morning she did that, like a wake-up call. usually she didn't have too, but some wolves aren't really good in the mornings. "let's get this day started!" she howled, feeling energetic and excited already. leaping down, she looked at the cave with the prey they caught. some of it was rotting. . she'd have to ask some wolves to move it out before it got worse. then there were bones. the pups could play with them once the other wolves got all of the meat off. looking at a piece of the prey, she grabbed a bone to scrap off some of the meat, and then hand it to any pups or queens.

xxat once ashanti got up as she heard her alpha's calls. curious, she wondered when they'd be an alpha male. she sighed and leapt out of the hunters' cave, grabbed a rabbit and ate it in a warm spot. ashanti always woke up late, and usually missed hunting patrols, which got her into trouble, but why should she care? it doesn't really matter to her. besides, she always gets what she wants. why bother doing it when she can do it later? ashanti didn't care. taking a bite into the rabbit, she looked around, scenting the others wolves emerge from their dens, or moving around to get started.

Dawn light seeped into this wolf's black fur. He hopped up, awake
in a moment as he heard his alpha's call. His instincts were honed
and nearly overly sensitive, his long ears stabding straight up- ind-
eed, everything about this wolf was long, and thin. His legs made
him tower over nearly everyone, and his face brought gangly fox-
es to mind. He struggled to physically submit to anyone, and yet
this too gave him advantages while hunting. He had a long reach,
and almost always was successful on the hunt.
He bound up to his leader, lowering his body in a bow, but stopp-
ed midway, nodding an apology to her. He leapt over to the ome-
ga's den, ducking his head in.
"You know, you really should wake up." He informs Summit.
His voice is light and friendly. He was, perhaps, a bit soft towards
the omega- they were both outsiders. "It is a beautiful day. Yo-
u don't want to miss it." With that, he returned to Mavis, offeri-
ng an apology. His body lowered further, into a deep signal of su-
bmission.
"I beg your forgiveness, dear Alpha, for running off like that. I
simply wanted to wake our omega. What services may I provide
today?"

__________It had been a peaceful night for the young female, no dreams to speak off and no medical emergencies of any sort. Letting out a soft sigh as sunlight dribbled in through the shared healing den walls Yennefer groggily opened one bright eye; “morning Elijah…” the words spilling from her lips in a slur as the half asleep dog combated the possibility of going back to bed. As her vision cleared yen took the time to glance over at her mentor- still asleep, apparently her greeting had fallen on death ears. Chuckling she quietly arose so as not to disturb the sleeping male, the light was brighter outside and as it shone through the clouds of dust they danced which brought a smile to her face. Looking up at her alpha Yen smiled gently, before continuing with her morning duties of checking their previously injured- mainly the omegas this time.

Passing Zeikiel on her way to her destination she offered him a friendly smile “did you wake them up, thank you for that. It makes my job easier.” She says as she passes. Entering the den Yennefer’s eyes quickly sought out her first order of business the packs latest omega; Summit, who seemed rather determined to stay as he was. Shaking her head slightly as she smiles to herself the young female softly pads over to the stubborn older wolf. “Alright, I do believe that it’s time to rise and shine. I hope you don’t mine but I’m here to check your wounds from the other day.” Yen explains as she nudges her larger pack mates shoulder with a dainty paw.

xxmavis smiled. "no need to apologize," mavis said, nudging zeikiel gently. "can you take ashanti and yennefer? yennefer can find more herbs while you and ashanti hunt. also, if he is luckily in a good mood, take summit." mavis ordered, sitting down as the sun rays warmed their fur. she has happy to have such an interesting breed in their pack. besides, zeikiel was an amazing hunter with his long legs. he was defiently interesting, and he was loyal to them, which mavis respected.

xxashanti looked around, continuing to bite into her prey. her ears perked as she heard her name. was she going hunting with the long-legged weirdo? ugh! she really didn't like him, but he was a good hunter and she had to keep it professional. most of the time. at least he was kind, and her rudeness didn't really hit him too hard.

xxsummit grunted, then turning to his side to show the paw that was caught in a bear trap. of course he liked the she-dog, but yennefer was quite annoying. she was kind and caring, acting so clam and sweet, and cute. wait! did he just think that?! using his other paw to cover his muzzle from his slight blushing. no! emotions are forbidden. they are things that make you weak! summit was not weak. far from it. he had to show that nothing fazed him. nothing. he was grateful that the pack of ember skies took him in, yes, but he still hated him. they destroyed his home! but still . . he felt a weird feeling of loyalty to them.

Zeikeil stood tall at the nudge. His old pack, of the
southern regions, from which he came, had always
demanded great shows of respect when in the pres-
ence of higher ranks. He had yet to break the beha-
vior's instilled by this pack, much to his chagrin. He
nodded at the orders, and, upon seeing Ashanti eat-
ing, poked his head into the Omega den once more.

"Hello Summit, hello Yennifer. Alpha has request-
ed that you join the hunting party today. Yennifer,
you are to collect herbs as we travel." He info-
rmed them, looking down at Summit's paw. "Are y-
ou injured? Yennifer, is he fit to travel?" He direct-
ed the question at the medic, worry clouding his
eyes.

xxstill smiling, the she-wolf looked around. her pack was currently quite small, but there would defiently be more wolves. mavis looked at ashanti, then all of the wolves in the omega's den. sighing at the stubborn fiery-copper wolf, she looked at the sky. I wonder if aella will drop by. . . it'd be nice to see her again. mavis thought, watching the clouds. aella was a fine wolf, but she had no interest than being more than an ally to her pack. sighing, mavis looked at her pack again, then thinking how much longer they could survive without an alpha male. the pack was unbalanced without two alphas leading, and they would get more reckless and harder to control unless there was another wolf to help.

"I can handle myself," summit growled, looking at zeikiel. he was defiently an interesting looking creature. why should he care about summit? summit was so mean to him, yet he always was kind to summit. summit just didn't understand. this pack was weird enough, and then that long-legged spider wolf. rolling his eyes, he laid on his left side while yennefer treated his paw.

__________ With a happy tail wag at how compliant the tan wolf was Yennefer set about removing the webbing that had been wound around his leg the day before. Gently peeling away the now useless spiders’ web with her teeth the she-dog pauses to acknowledge the other male. A muffled greeting passed her lips as she removed the final parts of web. Looking over to Zeikeil she smiled “that would be a great help, there are normally injured animals around the herbs so it’s easy pickings.” She chats before continuing her work. Examining the now dried blood on the paw she begins to gently clean it away. “Alright, there isn’t any infection. However I would keep it webbed for at least another day; I’ll be right back!” she hums happily before dashing out of the den.

After taking account of her supplies and bringing back a mixture of chervil, horsetail and goldenrod; she places the bundle of herbs on the ground, sits and starts to chew them into a pulp. Yen wrinkles her nose at the bitter taste, still not used to the mixture of different herbs. Spreading the paste on her paw she tentatively spreads it across Summits own before covering it with a layer of cobwebs. “Alright that should suffice… hey hang on a second are you alright you seem a little unconformable… do you have a fever?!” leaping to her feet the young collie practically shoves her nose into Summits face as she attempts to take his temperature “sorry! Sorry…” she mumbles before retracting her head and pulling a face. “You don’t seem to have a temperature but if you feel woozy let me know and I’ll come and help you” Yennefer then turns to Zeikeil “don’t worry I’ll keep an eye on him for any sighs of discomfort while we are out.” Chuckling lightly at Summits fiery remark the young fea shakes her fur free of dust “I’m sure that is the case but we are a pack, we need to work together.”

xxas the she-dog check his temperature he froze. why is she so close? he wondered. his paw did feel better once the treatment was done, and he got up to reposition. "if you don't mind, I'd like to sleep in peace." he growled at zeikiel, closing his eyes. he was a nice wolf, but he was annoying. always worrying about him, which summit didn't understand, but he found it annoying. turning his back to the entrance of the den, summit fell asleep.

The wolf nodded, letting out a deep sigh as Summit l-
aid back down. He nudged him with his nose.
"No, no. We're leaving, Summit. As soon as we can,
theres no time to sleep."
He reminds him, ducking out of the den. He nods to Y-
ennifer in gratitude on his way out.
"I am going to get Ashanti, please be ready and aw-
ake by the time I do."
With that, the wolf padded over to the female waggin-
g his tail a bit.
"Hello Ashanti. With your superb hearing, I am sure yo-
u've figured out that you have been chosen to go hunt-
ing with Yennifer, Summit and I. Please be ready soon,
I'd like to leave as soon as possible- so that our omega
doesn't fall asleep again." He adds the last part with a
chuckle.

__________ Smiling kindly at Zeikeil she lets a small yawn escape her jaws, plopping down heavily on her haunches the slim she-dog glances at Summit once again. “I have no doubt that sleep will do your paw the world of good; but the alpha says you’re to join the others with their hunt.” Yen remarks as she watched the stubborn male attempt to block out the world. To be honest she didn’t blame him she would do the same if she had the option. “Besides you don’t want to anger mavis, she’s lovely but everyone has there limits and she’s stressed enough as it is… I worry she’ll make herself sick if she continues to over work herself like she is.” she says with a small worried sigh. As Yen watches the omega many questions float through her head, none of which she has the nerve to ask...almost. A curious dog by nature she was dying to know more about the wolf’s previous pack she was still pretty new to the whole wolf world and hadn’t met many packs. “So… um… do you like it here? Probably not I guess, it’s probably completely different from your other pack- I mean I know you had a different rank and- I’m sorry I’m rambling aren’t I…” with an embarrassed laugh she turns away from Summit to give him more space. Swallowing nervously she began to flick her tail back and forth- a nervous habit- she hated annoying her pack mates and felt as though she had over stepped her boundaries.
