I just want to point out that I was offered this for my BMD 2 days ago. ^^ The BMD still has fairly decent demand, and can get quite a bit of overpay. While I grant you it's rare and people shouldn't demand that amount of overpay, it is still possible.

Just wanted to add to this- demand is user based, just because one person is willing to pay X amount for a pet doesn't me everyone is willing to pay that same amount. Desperation also leads people to pay more for a pet. As well as the profit kinda demand- like the Raven dog. People pay X amount and hope to get X amount + more. ^^
As well as most people value pets differently, some people value pets at their list placement, while others value them at more ^^
