He followed up behind her, scenting the air as he did. He made sure to keep all his senses alert, not just for herbs, but for predators soon. After a few minutes of searching, he picked up the scent of tansy to the left of them. "Blue shadow, I scent some tansy over there." He pointed his tail to the left of them, where the tansy was hiding. "It's a strong scent of it, smell it for yourself!" He exclaimed, tasting the air once more, making sure it was indeed tansy.

Smokeclaw dipped his head. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to sleep in here last night. I had guard duty," he explained with a yawn. He laid his head on his paws. "I hope the kits come soon. I can't wait to have our own family."

falconblaze narrowed her eyes at the loner as he approached her. "hello," she said to him. "are you a loner?" she asked him, wondering what his story was. he didn't seem hostile so she wouldn't be too hostile till she found out his intent.

dapplebrair smiled. "it's okay, i understand. you can't stop being a warrior," she told him. she nodded. "me too," she told him. she was ready to give birth because she could wait to see the faces of her kits.

speckledfur smiled and nodded. "yes, exactly," he said, letting out a sigh. at least someone understood how he felt. "how did you sleep, willowstar?" he asked her.

"Yes."Alexander answered."My name is Alexander."he dipped his head in greeting."I was walking along the borders and noticed you were nearby. I guess im more curious then I should be."he added a joke to lighten it up.

Blueshadow's blue gaze was fixed ahead as they went along, trying to spot any herbs or wolves that may be nearby. Not only that, but hawks and eagles. All of them were something to watch out for, but she expected they would do well."Great job!"she scented the air to make sure it was tansy."Yep, thats it!"she followed the scent trail to the herbs."Here they are!"she chirped before gathering them.

falconblaze smiled. "falconblaze," she told him. "it's nice to meet you alexander," she told him. "as long as you don't plan to hurt my clan or hunt in our territory i guess it's okay if you visit around here," she told him.

Smokeclaw nodded. "I thought of a few names," he admitted. "O-of course it depends on their looks and personalities. I thought about maybe the names Owlkit, Blackkit, and Skykit."

Alexander thought the name Falconblaze was odd, but he didn't comment. Instead he focused on their conversation."I have no intention to hurt any of you. I prefer not to hurt cats."he replied."And I certainly wont hunt there. I know you have a clan to take care of and I don't want them to suffer because of my actions."

"Tansy!" He chirped after her, bounding up to the wild tansy, and helped Blueshadow collect it. "Do we need anything else after this?" He asked her, his words slurred by the tansy in his mouth. He had started to get used to the taste of many of the foul tasting herbs, happy he didn't have to scrunch his nose up every time he put them in his mouth.

"No, this is good."Blueshadow wanted to quickly get the herbs back, scared the bitter cold of the air would cause harm. Of course that wouldn't happen if they spent more time out here, but it was safer back at the cave either way. Right now it was just the two of them and they were vulnerable to predators."Lets head back. I don't fancy meeting a pack of hungry wolves right now."

He nodded in agreement, and quickly headed back to the den, hoping he would be able to sink himself into the war moss that awaited him. He bounded ahead of his mentor, still being careful to not harm the herbs. As they arrived to the den, he dropped the tansy into the designated pile, organizing it after Blueshadow dropped hers off too. He walked over too his nest, and curled into a ball, bringing in all the warmth he possibly could. "That was a successful trip!" He said, thankful Starclan was giving them all these needed herbs.
