Off the top of my head:
Don't powerplay/control other people's characters.
Here's a guide on how to fight in rps: http://www.dpsinfo.com/rufussafer/rolep ... rules.html
It helps a lot if you tag the people your horse is interacting with. For an example, just look at this roleplay thread, many people include basic info of their horse and tags.
If you haven't done horse roleplaying before, looking up a guide on body language, vocalizations, and anatomy. It will help a lot so you know what you're doing and what other people are doing.

I was thinking of making either a draft or an Arabian but I'm not quite sure yet. xP

Well, I'm a big fan of Arabians, but maybe another draft mare would be good for the big draft boys?

I think the only two herds I don't have a mare in is Mark & Jerichos.

But I wouldn't mind completely having two mares in one herd but I'll try to keep them separated so I don't start interacting with just myself.
