Maserati had been roaming around in the forest for quite a while now. Soon she became bored and found an exceptionally large stream. Shaking her head, her long grey and white mane shook as she slowly stepped down towards the stream. Once the cool water touched her hooves, she started to prance, and paw at the water. Mazzie then bent down and rolled in the stream letting out a nicker.

Vita narrowed his eyes as he lurked in a city's remains. Taking a whiff of the air, he made sure that there were no other animals nearby, and soon sprinted across a clearing to a large building. Vita slunk closer to the ground and slipped through a hole he had dug to get inside the old place. Once inside, the rather medium sized Jackal stretched and looked around what he had claimed as his home.

Emma tried to get comfortable in her nest, but was unable to grasp sleep.
She fidgeted around and for once was glad no one lived with her, or else they'd probably throw a rock at her.
Her feathers fluffed up where she had been laying on them, and she shook out her coat the smooth them.
its hardly even afternoon, she thought miserably, and closed her eyes once more. Nothing. Sleep just didn't want to come. Stretching, she decided to take a quick fly around.
Getting ready to pounce, she took off, the wind blowing her forward.

Crash.

Marcy sprang to her feet, arching her back as her heart thumped wildly with fear. Her yellow eyes were round with fright, but softened when they flitted to what had fallen. Just a box, she thought to herself, flattening the black fur that stood rigid on her shoulders. While I'm up, I might as well make my daily rounds. Wearily, she began marching around her territory, which engulfed almost the entire city. Marcy wasn't a very sharey-carey type of cat, no. The scent of jackal wafted into her nostrils, but she brushed it off. Even she had to admit that it was almost impossible to manage this entire place. Either way, the only territory she cared about was the bridge, alleyways, and outskirts of the city. Speaking of which.. she said to herself as she approached the city's bridge.

The wooden overpass was Marcy's favorite spot in the city. It overlooked a narrow canal, only a few yards across, and bordered the field that touched the wood's edge, which was also only a few yards in length. Plopping down in her usual spot, she purred and watched the fish dart about in the calm waters. Suddenly, the small black cat stiffened. A mysterious scent drifted into her mouth, eliciting a low growl from her throat. Someone was here.

The young lioness stood crouched by the river, staring into the water. She was nearly completely still, all except for her tail which twitched on occasion. Without warning, Iris sprung into the cool water, making a huge splash in the process. Her head was under water, tail lashing. After a few moments, her head shot up and out of the water. "Stupid fish!" She growled, stepping out of the river and looking to her friend Haze, who was nearby. "They're too fast! I can never catch them!"

The tall stallion warily walked down the street, his ears pricked and straining to pick up any sounds around him. He didn't like going into the city, he felt vulnerable and knew that all kinds of animals lived here. He was originally in the forest nearby, but a small group of wolves cornered and chased him. Xander got out of that situation unharmed, but was now in unfamiliar territory. He remained alert and tense as he walked, prepared to act if anything jumped out at him.

Haze blinked, “You are making a too big splash. It really doesn’t matter if you are really still before the final leap. Perhaps try scooping the fish out instead of pouncing on it. You should try again.” He padded to the river bank and crouched, patiently waiting. “There’s a carp right there,” the male tilted his chin towards the young unsuspecting carp submerged near their perch. “It’s a bit far so you would need to dive straight and catch it right away. Let me show you.” Haze watched as the carp neared and he swiftly sprang. Plunging straight into the water, he fumbled with the carp and got smacked in the snout. “Argh!” He snarled as he thrust his right paw forwards to hook the escaping carp. Haze gently clamped his jaws down on the struggling fish. He swam back to the shore and dropped the fish at Iris’s paws, “You take it. I really don’t want to go fishing anymore, I’m tired of being smacked by fishes.” He shook out his pelt dry at the same time trying not to think about the waters again.

Iris frowned and crouched down by the river bank, peering into the water. Pouncing was much more fun that scooping up fish, but perhaps this method was better. She caught sight of the carp that Haze was talking about and watched it intently. The young lioness was tempted to go after it, but she stayed back and let Haze do his thing. When Haze made a move towards the carp, Iris quickly stood up and watched, giggling a bit when the struggling fish smacked Haze in the face. "Oh, you got it!" She said excitedly, grinning at Haze as he returned to the riverbank with the carp hanging from his jaws. "Thank you!" She crouched down to take a bite, but paused before doing so. Though hungry, she didn't want to just take it. She turned her head a bit to look at Haze before speaking again. "You sure you don't want any of this?"

Haze shivered, "I'm not much of a fisher. I really don't like fish or anything scaly." He sat down and groomed his pelt and deciding what to do next. "You eat it." The male lion nodded at the fish, he continued grooming his paw and then his other front paw. Haze groomed quietly and listening to the rush of the river waters, it reminded him of those no manes and how they disappeared. Will we all disappear one day? he questioned himself as the lion turned around and groomed his pelt once again. Where will we go? Will the forest disappear? When will I be able to make it back to my homelands? Those were the questions that Haze won't be able to answer, not in this life and most likely not in the next.

Iris nodded and bent her head to eat. It didn't take her long to finish, soon there was nothing left but bones. Finished with her meal, she stood up and stretched, briefly glancing around them. She could hear the chirping of birds from the trees around them, but the only animals that she could see were herself, Haze, and the fish swimming in the river. She walked over to Haze, nudging him with her nose. "C'mon" She said, motioning to the trees. "Let's get away from this river, I'm sure there's better prey elsewhere."

Aussie Jumped Down From A Dumpster. With A Food Scrap In Her Mouth, She Ran Out Of The Alley. She Ate The Food Scrap And Jumped Around. She Dodged All Of The Humans In The City And Went Into An Alley That Led To A Forest. She Ran Straight For The Forest, Away From The Loud Commotion. She Chased Butterflies And Played With Blades Of Grass. She Continued Running Through Until She Stopped, Realizing Something Very Important. Aussie Was Lost.
