What are Nile River Equids?
Nile River Equids (NREs) are a sub-breed of Mustangs who were discovered to be living in Africa. They tend to range anywhere from 12 hh to 16 hh, while there have been known to be slightly smaller or larger. These horses tend to be able to sustain themselves on a minimal amount of water and food, they can travel long distances and have extraordinary stamina. The people who discovered these animals found that they were extraordinarily friendly and the braided tails are a sign that the NRE is domesticated or belongs to another person.
NRE's are starting to be found with ribbons of all colours to symbolize who their owner is. Though the braids symbolize their domestic status, the ribbons correlate to the owner. The person with a ribbon the same colour as in the horse's tail have a lot of power over the horse, and they tend to be almost completely loyal to only one person; the ribbon holder. It is known for one person to control a whole herd of NREs with just one ribbon colour, but it is more common for someone to wear multiple ribbons around their necks, in their hair, or like a belt. Ribbons can come in any colour or pattern.

Name: Two Into One // Split
Gender: stallion
Age: 4 years
Ribbon Colour/Pattern: red, as it is :3
Personality: Split is such a different horse when he's in the arena as compared to when he's not. Outside of the arena, he's crazy. He can barely focus. He never stops prancing around like a maniac. He's so childish outside of the arena, but when he enters the arena, he's a serious wet, drip with no personality. Split tends to stay alone in the pasture rather than be around other horses or animals. My dogs like to run with him and play with him but his high energy personality annoys most of the horses.
Best Friend: Split's best friend is my Sweetnose Mastiff, Farryn. Farryn is a ball of energy. She loves playing with Split and sometimes thinks his braided tail is a rope toy, so she tries to bite onto it. This annoys Split but he gets over it quickly. His other friend is Zippy. Zippy also has a ton of energy but also loves to cuddle with Split when he's in his stall. Zippy is a little ball of fluff and calms Split. They play chase all the time. Zippy accompanies Split when he goes to shows because he calms him down while in the trailer.
Discipline: Split is a dressage star. His high energy helps him complete long and difficult routines.
NRE Interactions: I have one other NRE, Ramesses. Ramesses is bold, daring, strong, determined and seemingly fearless. He is dominant over Split so Split tries his best not to annoy Ramesses. Ramesses sometimes scolds Split for being so high energy, but he never is aggressive towards Split. Ramesses tries to act as an example and role model for Split since he's so childish in comparison to Ramesses' mature personality. Split respects Ramesses and wishes that they would run and play together, but Ramesses prefers to canter and trot around the pasture and stay in the shade.

Favorite Toy: Split loves his ball. He loves to kick it around and play with it all day. He can't get enough of it. He will not share his precious toy and takes it with him into his stall. After playing with it all day, he gets quite worn out. He plops down into his soft hay in his stall and falls asleep quickly.
