so i've started to reread the series (i think i had read up until the end of omen of the stars and all (i think) of the super editions that had been released up until then), and i realize how much the first season likes recaps. it seems like every time fireheart looks at the medicine den, he retells the reader about (spoilers kinda? only first series lmao) how spottedleaf was killed by clawface or how yellowfang died in the fire and how much he misses them blah blah

maybe its just b/c i'm binging it over my spring break, but the recaps seem a little excessive. has anyone else noticed these?

when you go through grief, you tend to have certain things that trigger those memories into surfacing again. both of the cats he cared for were medicine cats, so it makes sense that he remembers then when he sees their old den.

its like this. if someone was badly burned in a fire, they will remember the incident whenever they see flames.

brains tend to remember bad memories better than good ones.

well yeah but those were just examples (b/c i just read one about cinderpelt (wowie another medicine cat what is it with you and medicine cats fireheart), idk they just seem more like recaps than him remembering something, because a lot of the time they just explain what happened again instead of elaborating on what they mean for him or the cat he's thinking of. idk maybe im just jaded b/c i've already read the series several times and everything is a recap for me haha

Oops I'm late with announcing new books;
The third book in the new series, A shattered Sky has come out a while back. Overshadowed by this book is a new novella bind-up, Legends of the clans, containing Spottedleaf's Heart, Pinestar's Choice, and Thunderstar's Echo.

And for the next book, Darkest Night, we have to wait until November 7th.

Last but not least we have the super edition NOBODY ASKED FOR but we are getting it anyways; Tigerheart's Shadow. In september. Yep. A whole 500 pages feauturing Tigerbutt. It will also feauture the cat in @saffron; 's awesome drawing.

I've read all of the four main series (original series, The New Prophecy, Power of the Three, and Omen of the Stars) with a bit of Dawn of the Clans and all main five supereditions- Bluestar's Prophecy, Firestar's Quest, Yellowfang's Secret, Crookedstar's Promise, and Tallstar's Revenge). But my local library doesn't have any of the newest series, so I went to Barnes & Nobles. Seeing all of what I've missed makes me open-mouthed.

Though I disapprove of ending the Dark Forest trial in The Last Hope because that's the whole main problem and plot twist of Warriors!!

Though does AppleDusk go to Dark Forest or Starclan -Mapleshade's mate-?

Exactly. It's stupid, and I never realized. I'm rereading Tallstar's Revenge tomorrow to see if she's mentioned like that by name. I don't remember it either.

Don't spoil it for me! I'm in the middle of reading Tallstar's Revenge, and he's still Tallpaw right now....
