Stream Where Small Fish Swim
"why would i speak when there are consequences to be had when i do? if you spoke, all i could do is listen, while you could run off and report your findings to your oh-so-holy shadow," she confronted, trailing behind him furiously. stream did not appreciate it when others walked away from her while they were having a discussion. it was rude and disrespectful in her mind, and she was not going to tolerate that sort of behavior from one of shadow's rogues. "if you want me to talk, you would have to promise that i walk away free. then again, i do not see why i should trust your word either way." stream sped up slightly, keeping up with his hasty movements.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
tempest nodded in agreement to spirit's words, glancing at star to ensure she was listening. she had been silent for the time being, which worried him slightly. his mood changed from fear and uncertainty to love and appreciation, watching as his beloved mate curled up around the tiny kit leaf. the leader had seen a lot of queens show their unconditional love to kits, but spirit was so selfless in his eyes. so pure. so thoughtful. she could convince the moon to come down if she tried. the love he had for her was indescribable. he had noticed it before, but he always had to worry about his duties as leader before he could think about taking a mate. now he realized what he had been missing out on the whole time. being a leader was like being a father to the whole tribe, and how would he ever understand that concept without first finding his other half? he learned from spirit. he was more understanding now, did not jump to conclusions as easy, and much more; spirit was the missing puzzle piece to his ever-changing life. tempest strode forward to join her, taking to sharing tongues by grooming the fur along her neck and shoulders. he paused, looking up at star curiously when a thought occurred to him,"why were you watching the tribe? did raven order it?"

Shadow That Dances at Night
shadow's back claws scraped against the edge of the cliff. he had shrunk back at the touch of spark, but kept a knowing sense for where the ground broke off below. the movement made him realize what her plan of attack was to his own amusement. can't beat me on her own, so she wants me to die falling off a cliff. how cute. "good luck," shadow spat, trying to break her moral for the idea's validity. the tabby tom broke off from his ominous position near the cliff, circling slightly to the left to put a fox length between himself and its edge. he decided to input a bit of speed in his next attack. shadow raced forward, but instead of ramming into her, he rose up on his hind paws and aimed to come down on her head with as much force as his small body could muster. it would be easy to get out of the way of the attack if she expected it, but shadow was hoping his element of surprise would throw her off.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
flower's heart dropped into her stomach at the mention of feather. she had completely forgotten about how close the two of them were. "i feel horrible . . ." she admitted, shaking her head with remorse coming off of her in waves. "maybe rain will give us some good news tomorrow? i can only hope." the tabby apprentice put her head to her paws, peering at the ground to hide her distress. another thought inched into her mind, and her eyes widened slowly as she realized what she had forgotten. flower was going to steal a piece of little's fur tonight, but the plan had slipped from her mind during the flame situation. she suddenly felt sad, wanting to get some sleep but knowing at the same time that ice was probably wondering what was taking so long. when tide invited the two of them to join him for sleep, she felt a hint of jealousy tug on her heart strings, eyes lingering on crow for a split second. crow was beautiful. when she's groomed for once, that is. she smirked at the thought, hiding her face by looking towards the nursery area where little was probably readying her kits for sleep. her ebony fur was untouched by any markings, while her eyes glowed like the jungle with a sun-like ring outlining the distinct feature. flower felt dull in comparison, even though her light tabby fur was always kept at peak perfection. she did not see the beauty in her amber, gold-flecked eyes. her pelt color was too common, despite the red and cream hues along her chest and stomach. i wonder if tide has ever been interested in her. crow did have a temper, but love could make someone blind.
she looked up at tide and crow with an apologetic glance, getting to her paws with a bit of difficulty. "i-i think i'm going to go for a walk. my muscles are going to be really sore in the morning if i don't stretch them out before i get to bed." flower felt bad for lying, mostly to tide, but she wanted to get her part of the plan completed as soon as possible. it would keep bothering her until it was done. flower got up to leave, dipping her head to both individually before heading off towards the opening of the ship's hull. she would have to loop back around and enter in through another side hole, making a break for the nursery afterwards. little won't know what hit her.

Fog from Misty Storm
"washed away?" he squealed, hopping away from the edge of the water as the waves came up to lap the shore. "i had no idea the ocean could eat you." mist felt like he was going through a midlife crisis. water was like its own predator. why had his mother not warned him about it when they went playing in the lake water a few days ago? perhaps the lake was different than this huge body of water? "i guess the more water there is, the more powerful it is . . ." he murmured in thought, almost forgetting wolf was there for a moment while his mind considered the possibilities. he snapped out of the facade when wolf announced his breed, which normally brought a bit of confusion. "so-mal-eee?" mist echoed back, head tilting curiously at the funny word. "i like it. it rolls off the tongue." mist zoned out afterwards, watching wolf with a tentative eye as he slowly became a real cat when he cleaned off the sand. one could never be too careful with sand monsters. after a moment, mist realized something important. "wait, are you all alone? do you want to come meet my mother and sister? they might be able to help you."
