he purred and leapt after the sunny-furred she-cat. a bit clumsily, he caught up and nipped her leg. "ah-ha!" jaggedleaf howled triumphantly. "catch me if you caaaaan!" he mewed, leaping from tree to tree. he got the head start, but he knew sunnyfur would catch up eventually. she may be more thin and lithe, but he had more stamina, so he could leap for ages.

The long-furred dilute calico point had followed Ripplestar, her fur slick to her sides. As Ottercreek tended to the kittypet,
Patchfire just kind of stood there as Ripplestar talked to her. Should I be listening to this or would that be rude? She wondered, barely listening to their conversation.

The long-furred black and white tom yawned, but quickly cut it off, as he despised when he yawned. He padded over to the fresh-kill pile, noticing that it was a bit low. I won't have anything just yet. I'll take some to my cru-I mean-the medicine cat. She's the medicine cat now, Crowclaw. Don't forget that.

Struggeling silently,he batted at the thorns in mild irritation "Curse these vile thorns" he growled softly to himself before a small laugh caught his breath in his throat turning towards the creator of the sound. Be would be lying if he said that he wasn't surprised to see her,because he was.
Freeing his stuck paw he sat and listened to her in silence, "Ah, yes. Well as good as I may seem I've never truly finished a kill. My prey always slips from between my paws." He admitted sadly. Raising a light paw, he stared longingly as he flexed his clawless paws. Cutting off silently his steel case flickered back to the Warrior as she made her proposal. "Well, that is entirely to long of a walk for me to make you trek, but I would still like to the stories and the passion you hold for your clan. So.." He paused for a moment as if thinking "Perhaps, I could meet you half way?" He offered warmly

He nodded to Ottercreek, watching her disappear through the undergrowth. He sighed, putting his attention back towards Patchfire, concerned he said, "Whats wrong?" He nudged her a little bit. He began to tread water one more. The top of his head was beginning to dry.

She called out, "Hey! Unfair you got a head start!" She soon began to jump from tree to tree, almost as she was a blur. She soon passed him and was gaining speed. With out realizing it she soon reached a large gap between the trees, one tree on one side of the river another on the other side. She went back to the edge of the branch and ran - jumped. Soon she was flying over the gap. Barely catching the branch. Huffing she waited for Jaggedleaf to catch up. She watched him on the other side.

She tilted her head, she looked at his back paws they seemed to have claws. "Hmm maybe... Have you though of using the claws on your hind paws?" ( They don't cut off the claws on their hind paws since after wards they won't be able to walk properly until they heal ) She walked a little bit more, "I don't mind walking the distance, it will be nice to get out of camp more often. Sides I don't want you to get into trouble." She said, looking at him sheepishly. "Anyways I don't think you would make it. No offense or anything and it wouldn't be all that suspicious if you were at the border instead of in clan territory. Hmm who knows I could maybe even teach you how to hunt."

Emberpaw stretched her body as she padded out of the apprentice den. She shook her pelt as her darker pigment soaked up the warm rays of sunlight. The young feline relaxed her muscles and yawned before shuffling her way to the slightly low fresh kill pile and looked to satisfy her hunger. Her ashen paws ached from her patrol the previous night while her shoulders slumped as she made her choice from the few pieces left and walked away with a small finch. Hopefully she could make her way into a hunting patrol and catch some more prey for her clanmates and showcase the new moves she had been practicing. She found a nice spot in an enclave next to a mossy wall and sat with her paws tucked beneath her light charcoal chest as she took a large bite through feathers and skin.

He dozed in the warm summer sun, flicking his ear occasionally when a fly tapped his ear. He soon got up, yawning. He wanted to go hunt. So as he left the camp he accidentally bumped into a cat, the sun's glare in his eye's he couldn't see who it was, "Sorry about that.." He trailed off unable to catch the cat's scent.

His fur bounced as he bounded up towards Emberpaw, a small mouse was hanging in his mouth. He grinned when he spotted the dark cat. "Hi Emberpaw," He called out, he had reached her. Suddenly he began to cough. After a bit, he managed to say, "I.. was.. choking on the tail on the mouse." He huffed trying to breathe. He plopped down next to her, "I can't wait until we can be a warrior. I want my name to be Lionstrike! What about you Emberpaw?" After a few moments when she replied, "Hey, do you want to go hunting soon? I mean you know with permission and everything."

She consumed the last few bites of her prey and purred with content as she licked her paws to swipe them over whiskers. Emberpaw lazily tended to her unkempt fur while basking in the sunlight when she was pushed from behind by the tall figure of a warrior who she didn't know all too well. Annoyed, she pinned her dark gray ears against her head while her fur bristled and her slender tail started to twitch. Immediately after though she was spooked as Lionpaw walked out. She jumped slightly before smoothing her fur in embarrassment and sitting up to smile at him. "Hey Lionpaw" The she-cat tucked her tail between her paws. Her eyes widened as he coughed, her pupils turning to slits before he explained and she laughed." You better watch out for those or you'll be the one on the fresh kill pile!" she sat beside him and brushed away the leftover feathers from her meal and replied with a smile. "We're so close to our ceremonies, I'm excited too. I really like the name Embershade! Makes me sound mysterious!" her tail tip twitched pleasantly and her ears perked as her fellow apprentice mentioned the prospect of hunting. "Oh yeah, that sounds like fun. I bet you I can catch more than you!"

Huffing still to catch his breath, "I'm sure that I could catch a lot of prey. Though you've always been a better hunter than I." He grinned. "Though I think we have a moon or two before we can be warriors." He sighed, "The others since they are 14/13 moons old are ready to be warriors." He shrugged eating his mouse quickly. Once he finished he grabbed a feather left over from Emberpaw's meal and put it on her head. He laughed as it hung loosely over her face.

the tom grunted as sunnyfur caught up and flew past him. not wanting to loose, instead of stopping, he continued getting another head start. "never stop before your enemy!" he yowled behind him, and using all of his strength, he jumped over the gap and barely landed on the branch. "woohoo! I did it!" he mewed loudly, and triumphantly.

She grinned with pride as the male complimented her hunting ability. Still sitting upright, her claws penetrated the dirt as she almost itched with a need to get out of the camp. Once she was a warrior she could leave whenever she wanted although she could admit that there were a few things she still wasn't ready for. Like battles or clan rituals. "Being a warrior is going to be so great!" she purred deeply, still daydreaming about the future until the ginger apprentice surprised her with a feather placed on her head. Emberpaw reared her head back before exclaiming"What the..?" and shaking her head to get it off. "Hey!" the feather then drifted to the ground and she slammed her paws down to pin it against the sandy floor.
