School has started back up for me ):

It appears the name of the new rival clan will be Horizonclan!
I'm debating on some strange traditions they might have, like
• when a couple wants to become mates, they have a ceremony with the clan
• there could be tight knit family groups that could recommend their children to become mates with children in the other groups
• giving a seashell to another member was a sign of love
• different names for warrior, deputy, leader, etc.

@ Lucy34 - Since the Tribe is based on the navy/pirates, what if the clan is based off of kingdoms? Like the leader is called "the king" regardless of gender, the deputy is called the king's advisor, and the medicine cat could be called the nurse, nurse's apprentice, and warriors could be called knights? Maybe the nurse can't communicate with Starclan like traditional medicine cats, but someone called a 'seer' can communicate with them, and they have an apprentice too? [though I can see where that diverges too far from traditional clans, is the only issue.]

Additional ideas that you totally don't have to use but I want to throw out there? -
~ The king co-leads with a mate, and that mate is always assigned by the nurse (or seer if you take that idea), as Starclan (or their equivalent) sends the nurse a sign as to who it should be. Their kits are called the "princes," regardless of gender, but when they're adults and the next king is chosen, the rest of the princes become regular knights. This occasionally brings about jealousy and drama within that family, for those with bad sportsmanship *jazz hands*

~ The next "king" always is one of the king's kits, sort of like how monarchies work. The new king can decide whether to keep the advisor their parent had, or choose a new one.

~ Maybe additional high ranks (since I'm sure a lot of people will want to be involved) could be like, "the nanny" who watches the king's kits for them whenever they have them, "king's guards" who are picked out by the king based on who they trust most, and are in charge of keeping the king safe at all times, and things like that.

I like the idea of a king ruled society. I was thinking Horizonclan could be very traditional and stuck in their ways, and then meeting TOBP would be just an annoyance based on how lightly things are run.
