do you ever wonder why they, the succulents, never need to be watered? why do they never need much of your attention? well the answer is simple- they've got spirits to protect them, to keep them happy, and to keep them healthy. when they get sick, that's when you need to worry and pay attention. luckily, that never truly happens. so just sit back, relax, and let the spirits do the work. and while you're at it, appreciate their work. they work hard day and night to keep your little plants alive and well. but shh, don't be too loud when giving your thanks. the spirits have heightened hearing, given the loss of their eyes at very young ages.
the spirits are tiny, as are the succulents they protect. after all, little ones need to stick together. they may be missing their eyes since early in their lives, but they've got acute senses of smell and hearing. their legs are skinny but strong, allow for easy movement into better protecting positions for their succulents. they also use their great hearing to listen for the flow of water, and leave the plants they are in charge of protecting only to gather and provide water. you see the small orb floating below the spirit's tail? it's her pod, the same one she was released from as a child. it's where she goes when she's scared, when she's sick. that's the only time when you're left to take care of the precious succulent on your own.
