Well...here it is!
You know Volepaw was the medicine cat apprentice, well he's being trained as a warrior due to Russetleaf's absence, and after hearing of Russetleaf's demise (which I hope Tomato Sauce will pick up on) will just break down like the dramatic little queen he is. After his breakdown everyone just goes 'calm down, being a warrior ain't bad' except Mudwhisker.
He talks to Volepaw & offers to help him and Volepaw declines saying what would he know about herbs! Nevertheless old Mudwhisker continues saying that he vaguely remembers seeing the old medicine cat, Ravenflower, and Russetleaf using herbs and since he's been in their so often, he knows some herbs.
Mudwhisker tells Volepaw about some herbs and slowly but surely Volepaw does learn something about things like thyme, lavender, cobwebs, poppy & marigold. When Swanfoot finds out, she forces him into the role of medicine cat, saying that they need someone to heal their cats should their be any causalities. At first this is harmless but slowly and surely as Swanfoot's influence grows, he is expected to receive prophecies and when he doesn't, Swanfoot tells him to lie and make it all up saying that the clan needs their bond with starclan!
Mudwhisker, the false medicine cat, eventually tells everyone of his predicament but Swanfoot denies forcing him, saying he just wanted power (the hypocrite) and being the lovely deputy, almost everyone believes her. Mudwhisker, knowing where Eagleclaw is, runs off to find her. He tells her about Swanfoot & thus kick-starts her decision to lead an uprising. However this is a day before she becomes leader so he's kind of late but not really.
Also why do you love Mudwhisker so much?
