Aries easily kept up with the male wolf, her legs eating up the ground. She had to watch her pace to make sure she didn't pass him, as she was still a healthy, well-fed wolf. She was running, but not as hard as he was, her pace putting her at his side. As they ran, raindrops started to fall, causing her to lay her ears back and narrow her eyes to prevent them from getting into places they shouldn't. "I hate the rain!" she snarled to herself, her paws already starting to slide on the now slick ground.
((I'm in a rainy mood...tired of snow lol))

[lol, yeah, same here.]
Race glanced sideways at her, but didn't say anything. It's just a few raindrops- what's the deal with that? Still, he made no comment until their southward-bound pace revealed a tall hill, atop which a cairn of stones marked a small cave.

Aries put on a burst of speed, running her hardest towards the cave. Her ears were pinned to her skull and even after sliding into the cave, she didn't relax. Her eyes were wide with fear as she huddled in the corner, but she also looked ashamed. "Just raindrops, Aries...stop being such a cat!" she shook out her wet pelt and laid down, shivering. The cave was cold, but then again it was a lot better than being out in the rain and wind.

Blu Malinois wrote:Ren slept through the night without waking up at all, luckily. Her scent eventually became normal and every now and then she would still feel chilled, even though Barren was in front of her, but whenever that happened all she did was roll onto her other side or curl up into a tight ball. When morning eventually came she was simply lying on her right side peacefully. She finally finished resting and opened her eyes, only to close them again soon after to yawn. Ren then stood and stretched then looked at Barren with a small smile but didn't disturb him.
Barren stirred in his light sleep, half concious about what was going on around him. Then he sat up and shook his great head, still groggy with sleep. One he was fully awake he cursed and stood up, nervously pacing back and fourth, keeping an constant eye on Ren. He shook his head agian, "I should have stayed awake and kept watch!" He stopped and stared at Ren then rushed to her side, kneeling down on his front legs, gently nudging her belly, "Are you allright, did anyone come last night and..?" he questioned.

Ren chuckled and licked Barrens cheek once. "No silly, nothing happened at all. I'm still going to have your pups so don't worry about you falling asleep. You need to rest anyway, if you don't then you will have a hard time staying up and sleep longer than you usually do." She said and licked his neck a few times. "Besides, I only want to have pups with you, not some stranger."

Barren sighed in relief and collapsed to the floor in a little heap, with his head on Ren's back. "I know you wouldn't want to have pups with anyone else," he paused sucking in an angry breath, "But that someone else might force you and I could never live with that idea.!" he barked.

"If someone even tried to and I couldn't fight back very well, you know I'd wake you up or call for you. Just don't worry about it, nothing is going to happen." She replied, trying to get him to stop worrying as much and try to relax. "Besides, my scent is starting to go back to normal now." She added happily. "See? You don't have to worry." Ren smiled softly.

Wildmagic_warrior wrote:Race trotted into the cave, noting Arie's look of fear. "What's tickling your fleas?" he asked, lying down near the cave mouth and scratching behind one ear with a hind paw. "You look like you just saw a ghost or something."
[Sorry for the short post- I have to go to bed ^^"]
She sighed, looking at her paws. "I'm scared of floods." she said, lifting her head to watch the rain, a little bit of fear still reflected there. "When I was younger, I was swept away in a flash flood. It was raining hard upstream, and the river just..." she shuddered and lowered her head to her paws, still watching the rain. "I didn't stand a chance of getting away, the water was too fast and there was no warning. Ever since then, rain scares the hell out of me. It's a foolish fear for a wolf, I mean I can swim and stuff. But water...freaks me out." Throughout the entire explanation, she didn't look at Race, and she didn't look at him now. Instead she curled up with her back to the rain, and him, and closed her eyes, fighting the fear and trying to stay warm.
