mist is naturally nervous. from the moment he was born, he was experienced in the off-switch known as death. the bitter scent of blood still stings his nostrils. his high levels of anxiety make him stick closely to his sister ruin, and strangely enough, to his false mother talon. he constantly feels like there is some inner darkness looming around him, ready to eat him up and make him disappear. mist fears the worst, always worrying about the safety of those he loves above all. this can make him seem clingy at times. unlike his father, mist has no cravings for power. he would prefer to stick to his corner, alone and undisturbed, where he can observe from the background. games like play fighting and moss ball do not catch his interest, he prefers, instead, games that require some level of thinking. mist is quite intelligent, and this will help him excel as an apprentice. his intelligence and clever thinking help make up for his small build, which does resemble shadow's light frame to an extent.

fog from misty storm was born to a former tribe cat by the name of splash of playful dolphin. he, however, has no idea of her existence because she died minutes after he was born. how, you may ask? his adopted mother talon of feathered egret murdered her in cold blood while she was recovering from having her kittens. this scene is shown here if you curious readers would like to see. the young kit found himself in a makeshift den that smelled of catnip and crab. while he was nowhere near old enough to be eating raw food, his new mother did not think ahead as to how they would acquire milk without taking them back to the tribe. this ended up with him forcing down crab, which did not suit his developing stomach well. sooner or later, talon introduced the litter to a strange tom by the name of shadow that dances at night. based on what little he could understand, talon and shadow were close with one another, and he came to know the stranger to be his father. despite talon giving them their names, his littermates were distrustful of their father and mother. talon tricked shadow into thinking they were his litter using the catnip in the den, which twisted his memory into believing he had betrayed little by taking her as a mate as well. shadow hid this from little and the tribe by visiting the litter every other day, but mist did not believe they were telling the truth. where did his father wander off to each day? why did he smell like many different cats at the same time? these questions raced through his young mind, and the only comfort he had was in his sister ruin. he was close to ruin despite their differences; she was the steadiness in his life that he craved.
