I think a lot of pets called "exotic pets" or in my country "new pets" are not exotic pets or recently domesticated pets and I HATE the abusive use of this term...
I mean the list often include ferrets, which are domestic animals since a few thousands years and don't exist in the wild, some birds , reptiles and fishes that were kept as pets by the romans, etc... How can those be considered as "new pets"?
