Absolute hype for the upcoming trial event! For whoever ends up with Beechclan I'll try and post everyday~

And I maaaay have been thinking about the whole arranged-mates thing I told you would happen under Sharkstar....just maaaybe.

Basically it goes like this- once you reach 20 moons you are assigned to a cat of the opposite gender to be mates with, if you already have a mate before that, then all the better for you. Each pair will be expected to have at least two litters, one when they are first paired and one between the time their kits become apprentices and they reach 50 moons.

Sorrelstar, Sleetfoot & Dunpond will be dead so they escape the whole thing.

Asptail and Pigeonsight get out of it since they're medicine cats, as does Malloweyes since she's an elder and Sharkstar since he's leader (and also into Thistlethorn). Barkknot of course, is still a POW while this goes down.

Sunheart and Shadowslip will be expected to have at least one more litter. They were planning to anyways.

Stormripple and Salmoncress will have had the required litters but will likely have one again anyways.

Cedarslash will be nursing her kits at this point and Malloweyes will keep her out of it as well.

Sparksong and Claywhistle will be expected to have two litters. They are fine with this, though Clay's going to make a lot of cracks at the system- political satire if you will. He might end up with his tongue gone.

Momomoon and Frostsong will get paired up. They are platonically close and Momo always wanted kits anyways so the arrangement is okay. They make it pretty clear they aren't romantically interested in each other to their kits and each other though.

Burntsoul and Webwing are paired as per her request. Burntsoul is thrilled (but less so by the kit requirement which she wants over with as soon as possible) while Webwing is extremely unhappy and pines for Smoothpetal.

Dandelionbloom will likely get paired with the next warrior I find (who will be another of Mallow's old cronies) and will most certainly not be pleased with her mate, who isn't cruel but is cold and doesn't care for her.

Flaxpool will be paired with Whispwhisper, and while neither were really close before they form some kind of support bond and taking the pairing okay with each other's help. They both might end up dead if Whisp reveals what Burntsoul has done to him.

Cougarheart and Eelpaw end up together when they're old enough obviously, Mallow taking his old request into account. They are in love though and Eelpaw makes sure to ask her to be his 'proper mate' after they are assigned.

Carpkit may or may not die, but if she doesn't she and her brother will end up with Starlingthroat's kits most likely.

Starlingthroat herself I have no clue. Maybe her old mate will return (or his long-lost brother to continue the soap-opera theme) or maybe Sharkfang will just get her pregnant? *shrug*

Golly, this sure looks interesting! I was actually in one of the assigned mates roleplays. Pretty neat idea, I'll have to watch Beechclan very closely from now on!
