Feelin really bummed because I started this event late so instead of enjoying it I've had to rush the whole thing lol

It's really funny because this year I worked super hard to get a whole bunch of extra tokens so I could sell them during the end of the event for C$ because the last couple of years when the event ended if I had a couple of leftover tokens they got sold real quick, but this year I can't seem to get anyone to take them, and everyone is trying to sell off theirs. Anyone know why the sudden change in demand?

I mean I guess I can always just trade my tokens in for event pets so I can have some rares in my trading folder, but thats not really what I was planning on doing, lol.

Man I've missed out on a lot of banner hunting DX, although there's not too many things I'm after just mostly the bunnies, because they have a chance at becoming rare. Anyways I've enjoyed what little of this event I celebrated!

I don't think a lot of this year's pets have a very high demand. For me, there was only one pet that I desperately had to hoard, and it was a freebie adopt. I didn't see a ton of pets that were talked about non-stop after their release, which we've certainly had in other events.

Which isn't to say that this Easter's pets were lackluster, because they were very pretty. ^_^ I suppose a lot of people just don't seem to want to hoard as many pets, which means they don't need extra tokens if they have everything they want.

On another note, after getting no animal eggs for 3 or 4 days, I now have doubles of almost every single one, and I think 4 extras of one of them. I never seem to have trouble getting every animal egg outcome, yet every year during the Easter event I freak out and overpay for animal eggs a day after they were released, only to get it 3 banners later.

Tokens always have a higher demand at the start of events than they do the later half. This isn't really a new phenomena , at this point those that were really motivated to get everything, already have completed the task, so they like you are trying to get rid of their extras. If you want real quality trades for tokens, trade the few few days.

Well, I hit my banner limit and the last one was a cheerful yellow token. I already pretty much had everything I wanted from the trade in so I'm satisfied to try an' trade the extras tokens away tomorrow or so, else I may start a new mini easter hoard of some sort.

My favourite token pet from the event; who brings back old fond memeories of my early CS days.

And free pet; who reminds me a little of Bigwig from Watership down.

Those animal eggs would have been the death of me too, lol.. or more specifically - the blue deer one. I never received one of those in my own banners and had to trade for it in the end.

I can think of a few reasons.

1. None of the pets really stuck out this year as a must have adopt. They were cute and some quite pretty though. Also most of the big popular pets were absent even if Easter is the focus of young smallish animals.

2. All pets seemed cheap and easy to get from what I have seen. Someone said it will take less than 90 tokens to get all outcomes awhile back. Even the rarer ones were not hard to get...

3. The banner Animal Eggs pushed people to get more banners which meant more tokens so the market was more saturated.

4. Higher limits for banners in general to quell users who play 24/7.

5. Lots of people trying to get list pets for tokens after seeing a few swapped = too many tokens in circulation = value crashes.

6. Because we all know what the pets are now, there is less of a reason to stockpile tokens "just in case" a really good pet suddenly comes out you wished to hoard. (Or needed due to an unusually hard to get outcome or two.)

7. Easter typically has low value retention. Not sure why. Maybe because there is only so many ways to do chicks, bunnies, and eggs without it becoming bland. Lots of animals don't typically fit Easter anyways so are used less.

Same here. I sold tokens off in a few different batches throughout the event. I'm glad I did, because finding people who are trading the pets/items you want for tokens can take some time. I still have plenty of leftovers though. Maybe I'll start a bun army or something. c:
