Quietheart looked at Sparrowclaw and nodded at him, watching him with her green eyes. She gave him a small smile and explained the meeting for him "Sure. Flamekit is an apprentice now and Oceankit a medicine cat apprentice. Then Thornstar chose Smokeycloud as our new deputy." She sat back down and watched the warrior and felt bad for him. It must feel awful to sleep in so late but sometimes those things do happen.

"Very good--that's exactly right," he purred, recalling everything he had learned about the wise cats throughout his time as a medicine cat. "They often know what is going to happen even before we do, and that can help us be ready. But sometimes their visits are harmless; there was one time my mother visited me in my dreams," he claimed. Something not every cat knew was that those that join Starclan are not always these all-powerful beings who predict the future. Sometimes, they just want to visit their living family and catch up.

which gave him the perfect idea. "Looks like someone's trying to set up a patrol, already trying to undermine me," he chuckled. "I plan on joining in... care to come with me?"

He knew he would probably regret this later, but the young tom decided to take a quick nap in his nest--what harm could it do? He was tired from tree-hopping all day; it took more effort than it looked like it did. He padded over to the den and made a beeline for his nest, plopping down in it faster than you could say "Marshclan."

Badgerpaw started purring as Driftmoon reciprocated his actions; that felt nice and very reassuring. He was fairly certain in that moment that if anything ever caused that kind of closeness to stop, he would ruin them.

"Okay, thanks!" she exclaimed with a grin before grabbing a decent-sized water vole from the fresh-kill pile and returning to her den. There, she saw Bearpaw dashing around, chasing... something. She set the vole down before saying, "Hey, Bearpaw! Whatcha chasing?"

The tom blinked; he knew he would have to choose his words carefully. He didn't know if the apprentice knew of her father's actions, so he didn't want to scare her. "Now, don't go around telling everyone this, but no, not all cats go to Starclan. Some cats who have done horrible things in their lifetimes go to another place called the Dark Forest. Very few cats have been visited by Dark Forest cats, though, so that's a good thing," he explained. It was always a touchy subject and he himself wasn't very comfortable with it when he first learned of that place as an apprentice, but he eventually just learned it was a part of the afterlife and vowed to never end up there.

Airpaw padded unto the Apprentices Den, beckoning with her tail for Flamepaw to follow. The small Calico looked around the den "That's Snowpaw over there" She said as she nodded towards the white furred Shecat. Airpaw looked around the almost empty den "Hmm" She murmered before looking back outside. "Oh!" She exclaimed, trying to keep her voice down "There's my "brother" Bearpaw and the cat near him is Spottedpaw" She said as she pointed at the two Cats

Sparrowclaw widened his eyes. "Oh! Smokycloud? Well I'll have to congratulate him next time I see him. He's a good cat for the job, very level headed. And I hadn't even known that Oceanpaw was interested in medicine! I'm sure Brambleleaf is happy to have another set of paws around now." he purred.

More voices filed in and Snowpaw opened her eyes and gave a small stretch when she heard her name. "Hey Flamepaw, the big 6 moons today eh? Congrats."

Bearpaw pinned the frog's leg down with a paw and turned at the question. "Oh! Hi Spottedpaw! I found a frog." he purred and batted the frog so it'd jump towards Spottedpaw. "I've never seen one like this before." He paused thinking for a moment. "Well I haven't seen that many frogs before just like a really big one out near the marsh. It was tons bigger and had like dark stripes on it's legs and big spots. This one just gots a white stripe on the side."
