Childhood~
When Nyx was a small little Kalon her eyes full of wonder and curiosity, she used to always go off adventuring. She'd trek through the frozen woodland around her home and read her books beneath the snow ridden trees. She often got hit by clumps of falling snow and the few books she had were often wrinkled from the pages getting wet. However they never lost their magic, though she read those wrinkly old books each a hundred times at least. She learned a lot from those books and all they ever did was make her want to learn even more.
Teen years~
Though she wasn't much of your average teen she had always been a bit ahead of her time. While most kids were off playing and socializing Nyx spent most of her days with her face glued to her telescope. She'd look at the stars all night and often be passed out the next day on the floor right in front of her telescope. It was around this time that she meet her owl crescent, one night when she had been gazing at the stars and she heard a soft thunk as something hit the snow outside. Later on she discovered that that thunk was the sound of an injured Crescent falling out of a tree. Though he wasn't too keen on her at first when he realized she was just trying to help he eased up a bit and the two quickly became inseparable, after his wing had healed that is~
Adulthood~
Now fully grown the star loving little outcast had quickly found a place in the world doing exactly what she had always loved. She had turned her little hobby into a full blown job. Once she had established her observatory and started taking in guests on the very first day she caught a glimpse of a crow peaking in one of the windows. He was skittish at first and kept pretty far away it seemed that he liked to watch through the windows. She began leaving a window open just in case one day he decided to come in and warm himself and so he did. Eventually he came around and crept in one day while she was doing a Q&A and he sat on one of the back shelves the entire time. He got to where he'd come in everyday until soon he had decided to make this his new home, and that's pretty much how she got her second bird Eclipse. Now the three of them all live together in her observatory teaching other wide eyed kids all about any and everything they could possibly want to know.
