Long ago, the Clans of Thunder, Shadow, River, and Wind were driven out of their homes
by a horrific badger attack. The creatures broke into each of the camps, destroying
everything they could lay their claws on. It was a huge pack of badgers, bent on forcing
the Clans to leave so they could settle there instead. The cats, all banding together be-
cause of this terrible event, fled from their camps in the direction of the mountains.

The first leaf-bare in the mountains was the worst they had ever seen. At least ten cats
from each Clan perished. They began to panic. Where would they go now? But then rogues
from the area began to join the Clan. These rogues were accustomed to the frigid winters
and well equipped for life in the mountains with their long, dense fur. The Clans held on
for a few more generations, and eventually everyone had the appearance of a mountain
cat and could survive there much better than their ancestors. The four Clans were finally
united into one Clan by a leader of the name Harestar. The new Clan was named Moun-
tainClan.

MountainClan has thrived for many moons, but tragedy is going to strike again. It's new-
leaf, and the ice and snow are beginning to melt. It had been an exceptionally cold leaf-
bare, with a blizzard that brought nearly three times the amount of snow they are used
to. With the snow melting, the river will be flooding even more than normal. The camp
could even be flooded. Will these cats be forced out of their home again?

v. you may not be your own mentor, apprentice, crush, or mate. if your cat has kits, you
may play one.
vi. no motherless kits. queens can adopt kits, but you have to arrange that with another
player.
vii. use realistic names, eye colors, pelt colors, and personalities.
viii. ask me before starting major drama.
ix. lgbtq+ cats are accepted!!
x. please write at least three sentences, especially if you play a high rank.
xi. time-skip when mating or kitting.
xii. remove your signature on both threads please.

MountainClan's territory is as its name suggests - mostly cold, snowy, jagged peaks. How-
ever, to their south and east lies a forest. It's dark and dense, but great for hunting. A
river runs down through the mountains and into the forest. The camp itself is a cave at
the base of a looming mountain, almost completely safe from predators such as wolves
or cougars. Dens are smaller rooms inside the cave. Just a short walk away from the
camp is the training area - a small, flat valley, and in the north is the Moonpool.

g o r s e c l a wxxx[ female - deputy - bi - no tags ]

As deputy, Gorseclaw always woke early, sometimes even before the sun showed itself. She couldn't stand to be idle, and even if no one else was up yet and there was no one to assign to patrols, she liked being up early. She would take short walks in the territory to just check on things herself although a patrol would be sent out in a little while anyways. Today she was sitting at the camp entrance, waiting for the sunrise. She loved watching it - what a great way to start the day.

The gray rogue woke with a yawn. The sun was just barely up. He quickly got to his paws and stretched before leaving the hollow log that had been his den for the past few nights - he should be moving again anytime now, though. He began to wander around before catching the scent of a hare. The tom crouched, slowly creeping toward the animal, and springing just before it noticed him. The hare hung lifeless from his jaws, and he returned to his den to eat it.
