Though the Clan may live in the forest, the nearby marsh is the Clan's namesake. Through flood and fire, MarshClan has survived and thrived in their home for many seasons. Swimming is an important skill as the marsh is prone to flooding the surrounding area in times of heavy prolonged rain.

You can have as many cats as you can keep track of
Please do not join if you know you won't keep up
Do not be your own mate/crush/mentor
No motherless kits unless the kit is older than 8 weeks (2 moons). A kit younger than that wouldn't be able to survive alone
Killing another person's character requires permission either through PM or on the discussion thread
Do not use man-made materials in your cat's name (ex. no Rubberclaw or Steelfang)
Realistic fur patterns and eye colors please

Not rules, but just things to keep in mind
Remember: Just because you know something, doesn't mean your character does too!
Try to keep genders fairly even - if there's 14 she-cats and 8 toms, then make a tom etc.
If you ask for a recap please post along with it the last thing you remember happening (Ex. "what happened since so and so did this"). It makes it easier to fill you in!
If you see someone being excluded, try to interact with them! But also don't expect people to always come to you; you have to make an effort for your character to be included. Write your character doing something or going up to another character
I prefer every cat in the clan to have a different prefix. If you've got a Leafsong and a Leafwhisker things might get a bit confusing. And if their ages are similar that means at one point there were two Leafpaws at the same time!
