Workshop Two - Day One Exercise

Where do they live and what is the geography like? Tea lives in a woodland area. It's really hilly, but it's hard to tell with all the trees blanketing the landscape. She fancies her land as a conservation area for animals without a home anywhere else, and it coveres about 65-70 miles of land. There are several breaks in the trees for meadows and even a bit of boggy land, but most of it is coated in trees.

What is the society like there, is there a hierarchy? The only hierarchy found there are between the animals themselves. When other Kals travel through, everyone is treated with a hot meal and respect. As long as they respect what Tea is trying to do there with letting things go naturally, and peacefully. The animals hunt other animals, and the vegetarian animals have full access to her guarden.

What kind of technology does the world possess: modern, medieval, fantasy, etc.? The land is mostly modern, set in today's time, with a twist of fantasy. They have really crappy cellphone service, and Tea doesn't have any TVs, but she makes due with other means.

Do many or only a few people live here? There are only a few true blue residents, with Tea being the only consistent permanent residence, although she welcomes anyone to the premises.

Is the history the same as our world, or is it different? If different, how? It's mostly the same, but conflict isn't usually discussed there. Worldly issues aren't seen as important, and Tea doesn't really bother with the news.

Is your Kalon(s) considered lower, middle, or upper class? Her moms are mostly upper/Middle class, but Tea herself has preferred the more modest lifestyle of being self-sustainable. Viewed by the outter world she probably looks lower class, but on her land, there is so social construct for money. She doesn't take it or really have any.

What sort of language(s) is commonly spoken here? There are days Tea goes without speaking, but when she does it's English. She mostly communicates with the animals through submissive body language.

Story Behind their Name:
Teagan's name derives from the Irish language, meaning little poet.
Her parents felt it only appropriate given that Tea was born a munchkin, and low and behold, she grew to love music and the fine arts!

Workshop Two - Day Three Exercise

How many different places have they lived: Not many. Her parents didn't need much space, and Tea was really fond of a patch of woodland area not far away from their home. She stayed there as long as she could before she was ready to move on, and from there she bounced around from place to place until she was able to snag the miles of trees she owns now. She got it for a very nice price considering it was all woodland area. It would have taken much to develop it into something workable- if that is what she had desired.

Why did they settle down where they are currently: Tea has always love the woods. The dark and shady oasis has always been alluring to her. And after a run in with a magical boy in her youth (you know who you are ;D ) she grew to adore meeting and befriending animals. Although, she always tries to listen for any music when she's out on walks just in case the haunting melody returns to guide her to him.

Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there: In most respects, she's already there. Her home has everything she could want- trees, animals, plenty of passerbys- the only thing it lacks is some family to make her feel whole.

What are the biggest moments that have defined their life: There is one thing that really set in motion who she would be. She had loved nature walks before this, but one day her nature walk lead her into the path of some mysterious music. She followed it to find a little green munchkin boy- except he had wings! Like a fairy! They grew to be friends very quickly. She would play music for him, and he taught her how to be calm around animals and how to approach them. He even took her flying- although he simply jumped from places and used his wings to glide her down. It was magical, and Tea loved every second of it. She hopes to see him again some day.

Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: Her future has always been bright, and nothing seems to change that now that things are sort of figured out for her! Not that she minds. The peaceful quiet of life is all she wants.

If they could write a letter to their past self, what would it say:
If Tea were allowed to write a letter and send it back in time, she would have an odd preconceived notion that it needed to be cryptic and difficult to understand. "That's just how they do it in the movies, right?"

Dear Younger Teagan,
I'm you but from the future! I know it's hard to believe, but to prove it; remember that time you ate that odd tasting chocolate? But you ate it anyway cause it was chocolate! Remember how it turned out to be... um... a bowel booster? That was an awful weekend, I know, I know. But you didn't tell anyone else except momma and mommy? Well, how would I know that if I wasn't you?
Anyway, I just want to let you know that everything's going to turn out okay. I know things are changing really fast for you, with the woods being cut down and everything, but don't loose hope. You are going to find something that will change everything. This something is more like someone that, when you meet him, time will stand still. The world won't seem to empty and your new woodland stomping ground won't seem so strange. Just remember to always practice your musical talents. You never know when it will be the key to a grand adventure!

Avi's best friend if obviously their house-spouse, Rufus. Avi adores Rufus despite being their near opposite! Rufus' soft spoken quiet nature helps balance Avi's spastic talkative and overly friendly nature.

Workshop Three - Day One Exercise



Has your kalon ever met their grandparents? If so, what do they think of them? Avi has never intentionally sought out their grandparents, though there are chances that they accidentally bumped into them at some point in their life.

What is your kalon's relationship with their parents? Avi was really close to their parents when they were young. They were a 'Daddy's kid', always coming to their father for conversations even if their father was trying to sleep. Mother was just as welcoming, and was really good at keeping Avi busy with crafts and fun things.

Do they have any siblings? Are they blood related or adopted? As far as Avi knows, they have two siblings born to them of the same litter. They weren't so close to their sister, but loved being around their brother!

Does your kalon have children? Do they/did they ever want to have kits? Avi and Rufus have adopted a boy in middle school. They want to have kits of their own some day, but so far, Elliot is proving to be more kid than they can handle some times.

Which family member is your kalon closest to? Why? Avi is closest to their brother in truth, Nemo. They had always remembered sharing jokes and jests with Nemo, and Nemo was their first friend! They're not as close now, but in all respects, Avi's family has shifted to Rufus and Elliot, and created their own little family circle.

Is there a family member your kalon wishes they could know better? Who is it? Probably their sister, simply because she seemed rather shadey when they were kids. Avi was never totally comfortable around her. However, with their family circle shifted, it would probably be Elliot simply because he was adopted just recently, and Avi hasn't had time enough to get to know him.

Who is your kalon's enemy/least favorite person? How did they come to feel this way about them?
Avi doesn't really have a 'least favorite person,' because they are happy and friendly with almost everyone! The only people they feel even remotely consider enemies are the people they have to remove from their bar. People who cause a scene or otherwise, if they become unorthodox they are kicked out and Avi becomes cold and cut off- the exact difference of who they are in the face of friends.

Besides their best friend, who else is your kalon friends with?
Avery is friends with everyone. Seriously. Anyone they're not friends with is someone they don't know. And people who are not friendly.

What qualities does your kalon look for in a friend?
A good sense of humor, friendly, loves to talk and is more than willing to double date with him and Rufus and them with their SO.

What qualities does your kalon dislike in a friend?
Grumps.
Avi dislikes when people are always grumpy

Would they risk their life to save a friend? A stranger?
Avi would definitely risk their life for a friend. Unfortunately, if it were a stranger, they would only risk half of everything they own.

Is it easy or hard to earn their trust? Why?
Yes. Always.
Avi is super trusting of pretty much everyone until they prove that the person isn't trust worthy.
