Avala shrugged. "Not trying to be." She didn't say it, but her tone implied even if it wasn't her main goal it would have been nice if it was a nuisance. "And I don't know what you mean by tactics, but I was the last angel created before God left, if that's what you're asking." She continued watching Voltron - she had subtitles on, so didn't really care that the talking was making it harder to hear the words - as she said, "There's nothing wrong with technology. It's amazing the variety of things humans have created just for entertainment." She smiled slightly for just a moment at something funny on the screen.

|| Liliana Swann || Hunter || Tags: Katinti, Atria (?) || Location: Coffee shop ||
Liliana started out of the motel room with an excited Harley on the leash. It took about five minutes - give or take - to walk into town, though quite a bit longer than that to find a coffee shop that was open this early. "I hate waking up early," she grumbled under her breath as she walked. Her tired eyes finally alighted on a cafe with a sign that declared that they were open 24/7. "Wait here, girl, I'll be right back," she told Harley, tying her leash to a bicycle rack nearby. Harley didn't seem to like being left out, but she curled up obediently on the sidewalk nonetheless. Liliana's heart gave a painful twinge at having to leave her dog outside, but she resolved to be quick. All of the hairs on the back of her neck stood on end for a reason that eluded her as she entered the cafe. The employees seemed to be very freaked out about something. Despite this fact, she ordered a double shot of espresso from a very shaken-up barista. Her grey-green eyes scrutinised the shop for possible clues at to why the employees looked like they were about to pee themselves, alighting on two apparently unfazed women having a conversation nearby. She decided not to approach; instead eavesdropping to see if they had any useful information.

A knot of uneasiness grew in Laura's stomach when she heard the edge in Arbor's voice. She examined the nymph's minute facial expressions from the corner of her eye, just to be sure. She's lying. The young agent mentally cursed her own freakish abilities of perception. Sometimes, it felt as if they were more a burden than a gift - it would be nice to go on thinking that they were safe. She's probably lying to keep me from getting freaked out, Laura reckoned as she resumed walking. At least her heart's in the right place. She didn't like lying and definitely did not condone it, but she supposed that one could definitely lie with good intentions. Still, I appreciate honesty more than anything else, she thought.

Avala
"Okay, first of all, it doesn't 'melt your brain.' That's ridiculous. I don't even have a brain to melt, and my vessel's brain is perfectly healthy," Avala said. "And yes. To answer the rest, I read a lot, I've tried cooking but I'm terrible at it, and although birds can be interesting they've never really captured my interest to the point where I'd make watching them a hobby." She shrugged. "And if you think all human television is 'God awful', you obviously haven't seen the right shows. There are plenty of amazing shows. I've watched quite a few."
Katinti
Katinti glanced over as someone walked into the shop. She seemed unfazed by the employees' fear, but had obviously noticed her and Atria and was now watching them. She stared obviously at the woman and grinned, making it obvious she knew the other woman was watching them, before turning her attention back to Atria. "What brings you here, anyways?" she asked. "I was just here for some hot chocolate, to be honest, but why were you here?"

Avala shrugged. "Whatever. I like doing it, and my vessel likes doing it, so I don't think it's a waste of time. I've never been one to get super involved in stuff anyways, so it's not like there's a bunch of ~amazing world changing things~ that never happened because I was having fun."

Great job, Liliana, the unusually tall hunter mentally berated herself. Way to be discreet. She doubted she'd hear anything of interest now that the shorter woman had noticed her presence. She scrutinised the pair out of the corner of her eye as she leaned against the counter, waiting for her coffee. She took in the black tresses and ice blue eyes of the woman who had spoken, noting nothing unusual with the exception of the fact that she seemed unfazed. The other woman seemed nearly half a foot taller than the redhead, with very long blonde hair and green eyes. Also unfazed. Liliana's gaze was drawn to the silver cross around the blonde's neck. She could just be religious, she reckoned. Or she could be an Angel.
(had to go back and read through forms for this post xD)

Laura put on her professional face, seeming unfazed by the human remains. The stench made her want to gag as well, even though she'd seen things like this before. "The lack of scavenging is quite perplexing," she muttered upon closer inspection. Despite the sickening smell, she forced herself closer to the remains. Stay objective, she reminded herself. Treating this with as much detachment from the fact that it was a living human will help. Though the bush was obscuring the body considerably, Laura was hesitant to move it aside - no one was supposed to touch anything before a forensics team arrived. But this wasn't any typical case, and there were no forensics teams at the moment. Still, she was unsure about touching the shrub - this was Arbor's forest; it could be sentient like the plants in the greenhouse. Though her mind battled with itself over this, she removed some latex-free gloves from the right pocket of her skirt and pulled them over her fingers. Supernatural or not, this was still a crime scene, and she didn't want to risk contaminating any evidence.
