Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow took a single step back, but stood his ground like a stubborn badger. The gleam of the sinking sun caught his ivory teeth, sharpened from chewing on the bones of his prey. The heat of the battle was giving him lots of adrenaline. The blood pumping through his veins made him feel warm, ready to release his stores of energy in a tidalwave of anger. "Little had to prove herself. No one will believe you if you speak a word of this. Who would believe a lowlife like you, other than that brat of a son of yours? I should have known. He has the same manner of speaking when he is not supposed to. Thankfully, Rain keeps him in check,
and warns him to keep his maw shut for his own safety. Too bad you could not do the same for your own mate," he teased, shifting his weight from paw to paw. He was building up for the climax, prepared to end her life and toss her over the edge. She would be a faint memory drifting on the wind, and she would be soon be forgotten.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Tempest was taken aback when Star mentioned different names for the two kits. "I think you might be mistaken. This is Honey," he gestured towards the pretty calico kit, before going to the little tom,"and this is Tiger." He noticed that Tiger was fast asleep, sinking into the sand to make a cozy bed for himself. It was probably still warm from the heat of the sun. "Darkness told me to bring them here. They are interrogating Little right now. What do you mean by Silver? Little had a third kit, but she said that she was killed by Shadow." The tom assumed that it was just a mistake on Star's part. Speaking of which, the fact she seemed to know their names was confusing to him. Were they possibly spying on the camp? They would tell me if they were doing that, I would hope.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower suddenly looked upwards when Flame asked how she was. A hint of pain blossomed in her chest, realizing how pitiful she must have looked for Flame to be worrying about her. Flame, the feline that just survived being trapped under a huge boulder and falling off a cliff, was asking if she was alright. She hid her embarrassment under a faint smile, rising to her paws indignantly. "I will be okay. Just flustered is all. Worried and such," she stammered, trailing on to try and make her response more believable. Flower was definitely going to be okay; she was merely shocked by the events that took place. It was a first for her, and she could not believe how well Flame was taking it. If she was in that same situation, Flower probably would have slipped away. No, I would fight it. I would fight it too.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
"Night is the most experienced queen in the nursery. She was the adopted mother of Moon, so I assume she would not disagree with us trying to find more about her killer. In fact, Night would probably be willing to help. She could search Little's nest for fur whenever she leaves to get Freshkill. I know that us apprentices are supposed to do that, but if we stop our nursery chores for a while, maybe she will come outside for a bit." Flower would gladly give up her nursery chores, though she would feel bad for Night. She would willingly get her a piece of Freshkill whenever she wanted, mostly because she was so friendly and reminded Flower of her own mother.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
Stream sucked in a gust of air as Wave slipped, feeling the extra weight crash down on her own shoulders. She silently thanked herself for assigning spotters, and hoped that Jackal was patiently waiting to jump to the rescue if need be. Wave, thankfully, regained control right away, and she admitted apologetically,"Sorry about that Flame. We are going to get you up there. Have no worries." Her claws unsheathed, digging into the pebbles lining the slope. There were some jagged outcroppings, but if they could make it up the slope, then Fire could probably pull her up the first ledge. Her muscles were twitching from the strain. It was not unbearable yet, but she knew that the original patrol was probably exhausted. Stream had to admit she was tired as well after finding Whisper; however, her body had energy reserves. She knew that she had the energy to do this.
