She yawned and closed her eyes. "Could you ask him? I don't know if I should leave the camp, but you could." She mewed hoping she wasn't asking too much of Mosspelt.

"I mean, yes, anything for you, but... I don't know what Tiger looks like, and I'm not sure he knows what I look like, either." Mosspelt kept kneading until he felt the dirt loosen, then he continued grooming Silverwhisper.

"Well he's dark brown with deep yellow eyes... just tell him you're Mosspelt, I'm sure he would understand." She meowed. "But if you don't want to I understand." She added quickly.

"No, no, not at all. I'll definitely do it for you, and it'll give me a chance to meet Tiger and give him a good look," Mosspelt added with a purr of amusement. "There. All clean!"

She purred twisting her head to touch her nose to Mosspelt's cheek. "Thank you so much Mosspelt."

"N-no problem," Mosspelt replied. He pressed his cheek against her muzzle before standing up. "Do you need anything to eat? You probably haven't eaten since yesterday afternoon."

She got to her paws and yawned. "I'm fine I can pick something up on the way to the nursery." She explained trotting over to the prey pile. She picked out a squirrel and padded over to the nursery to enjoy her meal.

Mosspelt watched her go with a sigh. He wished that Silverwhisper returned his feelings, but he knew that would never happen, no matter what he did. He laid down where Silverwhisper was and pressed his muzzle in the grass, breathing in his 'mate's' scent.
