Mosspelt drew his tongue over Silverwhisper's ear. "You have a lot of dirt in your fur," he commented.

"Well I had to roll in leaves to hide the scent." She explained.

"I can tell," Mosspelt purred in amusement as he kept grooming her fur where dirt was visible.

"I'm afraid for him Mosspelt, you remember what happened to Nightshade, the clan didn't let him join. And Wolftooth was ready to hurt Tiger a while ago when us two met at the border."

"He knows to stay away from the borders, and he hasn't attacked the Clan yet." Mosspelt felt a sudden sadness as he thought of something before continuing. "If you asked Sandstar, and if Tiger wanted to join, I bet Sandstar would let him."

She shook her head, "He can't join. He says it's because he doesn't believe in Starclan. I respect that but... I wish he would join." She meowed. The queen shifted her paws to lay on her side sighing in relief. "Just walking a little ways tires me out."

"You don't have to believe in StarClan to live in the Clan. I mean, look at Icegaze! That old elder doesn't think that our ancestors should control our lives." Mosspelt shifted along with her, sitting beside her as he lapped at her flank, where a brown dirt spot was clearly visible.

She nodded, "After the kits are born I could ask him. It might be good for him, to join the clan." She meowed quietly kneading at the ground with her foreclaws. She would love for her mate to join the clan.

Mosspelt nodded. "Whatever makes you happy, I'll help you with it." He started kneading Silverwhisper's flank when the dirt didn't come out.
