Workshop One - Day One Exercise

What is your Kalon’s first, middle, and last name (if they have one)? Nyx
Does your Kalon have a human appearance as well? If so, what do they look like? They actually do have a human appearance and I've drawn it before it can be found here~
Does you Kalon have any family members? If so, blood related or adopted? They have no family members sadly enough, maybe one day she'll meet someone and have some cute little children of her own.
Who is your Kalon the closest too? Why? Nyx is closet to her two pet birds Eclipse the crow and Crescent the snowy owl. She's closest to them because they have always been there to help through an troubles she may face.
What sort of occupation does your Kalon have? Do they enjoy it? Nyx is an astrologist and she absolutely adores her job.
List some of your Kalons likes and dislikes and give an explanation as to why. Likes - Astrology and soft things, because it's crazy to think about how vast the universe is but it's also good to remember to enjoy the simple things like cuddling with some soft blankets and pillows. Dislikes - Heat and being unable to figure something out, because she is so fluffy and her fur is so dense being in hot environments is very uncomfortable for Nyx she just wasn't built for them. When she finds something that she just can't figure out no matter how hard she tries it ends up really bugging her and she can't focus on anything else until she solves it.
What is your Kalons biggest weakness and strength? Her kindness and generosity are probably her biggest weaknesses she just doesn't know how to limit herself most of the time. Her biggest strength would probably be her knowledge, she very intelligent with a knowledge pool that covers a wide variety of topics.

Workshop One - Day Two Exercise

Write about a time when your Kalon(s) lost something important or someone close to them: Not too long ago actually Nyx lost one of her birds. It was a normal morning at her observatory, he woke up got dressed and started making breakfast for herself and her two birds when she noticed that her crow Eclipse had not shown up for breakfast. Some days he could be a little late though so she didn't think much of it so herself and Crescent proceeded to eat their breakfast together. Soon they finished and started cleaning up and as she got just about ready to open the doors for the day Nyx noticed Eclipse was still no where to be found. His food hadn't been touched and she hadn't seen or heard a peep from him all morning, he may occasionally be late for breakfast but it's incredibly unlike him to miss Nyx opening the doors for the work day. She called out his name and checked his usual hiding spots to no avail. Getting progressively more and more worried Nyx didn't know what to do, nothing appeared to be open so he couldn't have gotten out. At least that's what she kept telling herself.

Either way she had to open the doors without him, the most she could do was hope that he'd show up sometime today at least. She told the guests as they came in to be on the look out for him and while giving tours and lessons she constantly had him in the back of her mind just hoping he was alright and that he hadn't gotten himself in any trouble. Hours into the work day a child came in and was playing in one of the viewing rooms, when in the rafters stirred a sleeping Eclipse. He heard the small child playing so he flew down and joined the little one as he often did with the guests here. He hopped around and gave little caws while flapping his wings in a playful manner. The child giggled at the silly bird and offered him some of the crackers they had been carryng around. After missing breakfast Eclipse gladly accepted the offering and quickly made a new best friend.

The child walked around to a few of the exhibits with an Eclipse right on his heels each one they looked at and examined together. Meanwhile Nyx had heard from a customer that she might have seen a bird following a child around and that it might be the one she was looking for. Nyx eagerly asked where she saw them and after the woman told her Nyx thanked her and took off to find the two. Sitting in front of a large black hole exhibit where the two trouble makers, at the sight of Nyx Eclipse gave a little happy caw and flapped his wings excited to show her his new friend. She smiled and greeted him with a "You silly bird you scared the living daylights out of me, I thought I lost you for good!" bending down to call Eclipse over, he happily hopped towards her like nothing was wrong. Nyx gave him a pet on the head and he nuzzled her back as she lifted him off the ground. She turned to the child and thanked them for finding her bird and taking care of him for her. Then she looked at the exhibit and asked if there was anything he wanted to know about anything he had seen so far. The child full of all kinds of question eagerly took the offer and like always Nyx hopped right on the opportunity to teach someone something. The three of them spend the rest of the day together, Eclipse beside the child both eagerly learning about the universe from Nyx. In the end Nyx was just thankful nothing happened to her dear pet.

Workshop One - Day Three Exercise

Do they keep promises, or break them? Why? Nyx always keeps her promises no mater what it may be or to whom it may be. She feels that if you can't keep a promise then you shouldn't be making them at all and that if she were to break her promises even once that she'd be letting both someone else and herself down.
Are they a leader, follower, or loner? Why? Definitely a follower. Nyx lacks the ability to take charge and be demanding, she just doesn't have the mentality for it. She would much rather just join in where she can and not be relied on to make decisions.
If they could change one thing in their past, what would it be and why? She would change the fact that she didn't move when she was given the opportunity. Feeling like she really missed out a huge possibility this haunts Nyx, she often thinks about what she would have become or where she'd be now. All in all though she's very happy with her life and even though she didn't take a risk that day she can't say that she isn't happy that she didn't.
Do they care what others think of them? Why or why not? She truly does care about what others think of her. Nyx wants to be everyone's friend and even though she believes that that is incredibly unlikely to ever happen she wants every one to see her as the kind of Kalon that would at least try to be kind and generous rather than anything else.
Do they tend to argue with others or do they avoid conflict? Definitely avoid contact. Nyx is a big baby when it comes to confrontation. At least when it's to benefit her personally she'd rather just let the moment pass and move on. However if she sees someone being bullied etc she will gladly be the first to step up and give said person a good talking to.
Are they more spontaneous, or are they the type that always needs a plan? A plan is always a good thing in Nyx's eyes, every moment of every day is planned actually when it comes to Nyx, from breakfast in the morning to her nightly routine. She's definitely a creature of habit.
Do they have any quirks, mannerisms, habits, or other defining characteristics? When focusing intensely on something she always sticks her tongue out and twirls her hair. When brushing her hair or fur she takes lots of breaks to sing into the brush while dancing around her room.

Workshop One - Day Four Exercise

Write about them interacting with their favorite thing: Nyx has two favorite things, her two birds Eclipse and Crescent. Nyx tends to tease and mess with Eclipse a bit more because in her opinion he's a pretty funny little bird that is pretty picky about the way he likes things to be and that just makes him super easy to annoy. Crescent is pretty much the polar opposite, he's pretty a-ok with any and everything. He likes cuddles and pets surprisingly enough so Nyx will often cuddle with him while she's reading a book or anything along those lines.

I may work on this part more when I get back if I have the time but I really had to rush just to get anything typed. x.x

I would have finished coloring this but I've got to go somewhere soon and I just don't have the time to color it sadly. v.v I've already spent around 6 hours on it (My hand has been shaking non stop today so that made it take longer than I would have preferred. e.e) so I hope it looks decent enough. :')
Also just a note she doesn't love Eclipse any more than Crescent, this was just a specific interaction with him and I didn't know how I could include Crescent in this (Plus lack of time) so he got left out sadly. :') He is still just as much her favorite pet as Eclipse though!<3

Workshop One - Writing Prompt

Prompt: I already had her personality typed out on my forum for her so I just copied it here. :')
Personality~
Unlike the Goddess she was named after Nyx has much more of a warm gentle and bubbly personality. Being able to help someone completely makes her day and she'll always go out of her way to help however she's needed. Sometimes to the point where it's bad for her because she just forgets to take some time for herself and ends up getting overworked. However she does also enjoy being lazy and can often be found snoozing somewhere, she's just the kind of person that would never turn someone asking for help in any manor so she doesn't often get to be lazy. Something she does have in common with the Goddess as far as personality goes is how surprisingly scary she can be. She's incredibly protective and when her buttons get pushed those soft pale eyes can turn to literal ice and her soft exterior gets rather frazzled. (Now I just have the mental image of all that floof standing on end like a frightened/angry cat...>->") This however is an extreme mood, getting her to express this would involve something terrible to happen.

Workshop Two - Day One Exercise

Where do they live and what is the geography like? She lives in a country that has geography and culture similar to that of Iceland.
What is the society like there, is there a hierarchy? There is no hierarchy in her country specifically. Though there is an overall hierarchy in her world. (If that makes sense. xD)
What kind of technology does the world possess: modern, medieval, fantasy, etc.? It's more so medieval/borderline fantasy.
Do many or only a few people live here? Very few Kalons live in this region as it is extremely cold.
Is the history the same as our world, or is it different? If different, how? Slightly different. Gods and Goddesses play a larger role in Nyx's world, and culture is an even bigger factor.
Is your Kalon(s) considered lower, middle, or upper class? She would be considered fairly middle class, she's not poor by any means though she is also no where near privileged.
What sort of language(s) is commonly spoken here? Most Nordic languages are spoken here.

Story Behind their Name:
Why I chose the name~
Nyx's name originally came from the night Goddess Nyx. I chose the name because her design was based on winter and her dark blue hair made me think of a winters night.
Why her parents chose the name~
Her parents chose the name for a very similar reason that I did. She was born in the latest hours of the night with the very same deep blue locks that she has now (Though you know...less floofy.) As I explained before in their culture Gods and Goddesses play a big role. So naming her after one of the first Gods/Goddesses, one that even Zeus himself fears was their way of expressing that they wanted the Gods to favor their daughter and allow her to grow up strong just like the night Goddess herself.

Workshop Two - Day Three Exercise

How many different places have they lived: Nyx has only ever lived in her hometown, she's never dared to venture outside of her town walls.
Why did they settle down where they are currently: Being born there she has found a comfortably, and despite once being given the option to leave she couldn't bring herself to do it for fear of losing what she had built for herself.
Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there: She's already there. Nyx couldn't possibly imagine ever living anywhere else, she has entertained the idea of traveling but if she were to do so she doesn't believe that she could ever actually settle down in another location.
What are the biggest moments that have defined their life: When she got her first telescope her future with the stars became set in concrete as each day passed it made her more and more curious until she found that there is such a vastness to space that she could study it her whole life and never know everything and the fact that there are so many things no one has ever seen before out there. something about that intrigues her and drives her to study it the way she does.
Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: Her future has a very bright outlook, she is actually going to make some discoveries that are going to open up so many paths for her in the days to come.

If they could write a letter to their past self, what would it say: (advice, stories, etc.)
Nyx would write to herself about how she should never be ashamed of seeking out the knowledge that has always intrigued her. She'd also include how she should be brave throughout her hardships because everything works out in the end. Finally she'd tell her all about the amazing friends she's going to make and the silly birds she adores with all her heart. (If I have time I'll update with her actual letter. x.x I've got a lot on my plate right now~)
