ashen, otherwise known as ash, was born into the fairly small village of tul'adrol. growing up, ash and her family of just her mother was a very poverty stricken family which lived in a small ramshackle house deep within what would now be called a sort of 'ghetto'. but in their time, it was called the cariosus, which literally means 'ramshakle' in latin. within the village of tul'adrol, were small districts. at the center of the town was the shopping district with the town square and courthouse. on all four sides of the shopping district were four more districts that surrounded the area like a cage. to the north of the court-house entrance was what was known as the business-district. to the left was the recreational-district where the sanguine lacum [blood-lake] was located and the paper-mill. sanguine lacum aka blood-lake was called this not because the lake was blood, but people the iron rich riverbed had caused the lake to turn a red-rust color after hundreds of years. then to the right and south were the housing districts that took up over 1/2 of the village. in this time as said before, ashen was living in the cariosus near the center of the town. even though there was a housing district, it was not common to find housing all over the city, especially in the alleyways of the shopping district and business district where ash and her mother lived. for a very long time, from the time she was born until the day she turned 18, ash grew up with a daily routine of thieving.

How many different places have they lived:
Well, he has actually lived in the same area most of his life. Freya's earliest memories are in the small apartment his brother had; rather than his parents taking care of the boys, his much older brother raised him. They lived in that apartment until Freya was about 15, then moved into a small house closer to the shore of their port town, and now Freya lives in a small bungalow of his own.
Why did they settle down where they are currently:
He's a very affectionate kalon, and needy, but does enjoy the bit of space living separate from his brother. Moving out was only natural for him. In terms of why he stayed in his hometown - it's a small port and harbor town on an island (think, Catalina). It's almost all he knows and it's all he needs.
Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there:
As he isn't the most worldly kalon nor traveller, Freya isn't sure where else he could be happy. Though, maybe with the right amount of pushing, he could branch away from his little home. Happiness has always been an elusive goal.
What are the biggest moments that have defined their life:
1. The first time he walked the perimeter and length of the entire island. It's not particularly large, only takes two maybe three days to do, and the smallness of his existence really struck him.
2. The first time he fell in love.
3. The first time he fell out of love.
4. The first time he went home to his own place, alone, filled with a content and hopeful silence. Having a new place to start a life all your own? It was everything Freya could want.
5. The last time he saw his brother.
Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it:
Well, Freya has always been exceedingly mellow; his outlook on things is neither ecstatic and hopeful nor dreary and hopeless.
Though, a bit of a sinking feeling, the sense of being loss and directionless, has been eating away at him. He can change it, as his life and his purpose is in his hands, however //how// he should go about changing it is a difficult question.

- this takes place in the medieval AU/time period -
His history really starts with the epic lovestory of his parents, Sparrow and Boyce.
Sparrow was a squad leader in the royal army, a job taken up after Castor's infamous grandfather Cullen. Boyce was the young, fiery chief commissioned to feed the soldiers as they moved towards the battlefront. A temperamental, passionate, and ultimately unhealthy love flourished between the two men, and after several months of travelling together, Boyce's commission was over. His contract had run it's full, and they were approaching the battle lines. Unaware to both kalons, Sparrow was actually carrying kits - Castor and his twin sister, Rosalynd. Having to drop his position as squad leader, and avoid the battle while tending to his new kits, Sparrow retreated back into the homeland. There, he spent several months searching for Boyce - to inform him of their children and mayhaps reunite. However, Sparrow's search was fruitless. Parenthood mellowed the frightful demeanor of the man, it softened his smile and sharpened his senses.
The first of Castor's memories are cool fall afternoons where his father would teach him how to navigate the stars or recognize plants. "Essentials" is what Sparrow called them - things Castor and Rosalynd were taught as they grew. At times relatives would visit; Castor's grandmother was lively for her age and often sent letters even when she was abroad, his aunt shared the same glowing eyes as the young kalon and introduced him to mysticism, and his cousin's clueless demeanor was endlessly amusing to the twins.
Over time, though, the two kits became curious as to who their other father was. While Sparrow had always been honest about the situation, and they knew of their father from stories and by name, their desire to truly //know// the man was intense.
So off they went, with ample supplies and inklings of his location, to find Boyce. When they did finally find him, Boyce had created a life with his mate and two kits. The two households merged together, though Castor struggled with being close to his new half siblings as well as his own biological sister. He became more independent, almost dismissive of his family, as he took up adventuring and mischief. And that is where we are now, in his story - young, reckless,
and a little too eager to prove himself.

Why did they settle down where they are currently: You never settle down on the job.
Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there: Nope
What are the biggest moments that have defined their life: When he joined the games.
Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: Aster's future is uncertain.

Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: She has a brighter outlook with a few bumps along the road. She can't change it and even if she could, I don't think she'd want to

How many different places have they lived: He was born in France however his family moved to Germany shortly after. He lived there until he was 14, then went abroad to England for a couple years before returning back to Germany. He went to war when he was 25 and travelled around for 3 years during that. After the war, he moved to America and he mostly lives there however he goes back to Germany ever couple of years to visit family.
Why did they settle down where they are currently: He liked the idea of being in a place where no one knew him and he didn’t know anyone because he could present himself however he wanted.
Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there: He’s content where he is now, however he’d like to travel around the world before he croaks.
What are the biggest moments that have defined their life: Cornelius’s defining moments are probably losing his eyes and raising a child? His outlook on the world changed when he lost his eyes and he was left in a depressive slump at the change and was very distant to people and things for a while after that until he found Nereus as an orphan. It was a stubborn decision to take in and raise the child, and he struggled a lot during it however he really started to open up during then.
Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it: I haven’t really thought about Cornelius’s future tbh. For what I see its a bit of both, He’s probably gonna end up having harsh turns down the road but hopefully it ends up alright. I think he might move back to Germany and retire there once he hits 70 but it’s still up in the air.

How many different places have they lived:
Lucida; Has only ever really 'lived' on their mountain, and in the heavens.
Laurent; Has lived in the underground, then the forest, and now lives in the royal palace.
Why did they settle down where they are currently:
Lucida; They chose to live atop a mountain, away from most others, so that they did not accidentally bring harm to them.
Laurent; He is living in the royal palace becaus he is one of the princes.
Is there an ideal place they want to live, or are they already there:
Lucida; Ideally, they would be living back where they were born.
Laurent; The royal palace is ideal for him.
What are the biggest moments that have defined their life:
Together, the biggest impact on their lives was when they were found to be romantically involved with each other, long ago.
Does their future have a bright or darker outlook, and can they change it:
Lucida's future looks monotonous and grim, alone on their mountain peak. They could change this future, but do not wish to.
Laurent, on the other hand, is looking pretty swell! He has anything he wants, when he wants it- a spoiled little child.

Prompt:

Haruka was born and raised in the countryside but always had wanted to move to a bigger city. When he was young he spent most of his time creating a name for himself on social media. His parents never made much money so he had to scrape by with the most basics of technology. Before entering high school he begged to be allowed to attend a school in the city that had been willing to make exceptions for him due to his social status. His parents had disagreed but he had managed to wear them down over the summer to accept it. In high school he studied hard but couldn't seem to become anything more than average in his education. Hitting the wall at a young age he basically gave up on becoming anything serious and decided to instead find a job where he would be happy rather than successful. The manager of a cafe called Sugar Sweet took him in right out of high school giving him a job with a stable income. He is one of the only employees to have stayed there for four years. The manager sees him as his own child and wants to eventually pass the store onto him. Hydra was Haru's bartender and one of his closest friends. Although all of Hydra's flirting eventually wore Haru down so he asked him out. Hydra was surprisingly flustered and said "oh uhhh.. wow I didn't expect you to ask me to go out with you I thought I would be the one to say that." He accepted though and they started dating.
