"Yes, it's awfully safe! Although a bit muddy.." He frowned a bit and lifted a paw, attempting to lick it clean, before realizing he was in the middle of a conversation. He chuckled lightly, "Heh, whoops!" and continued to listen attentively, nodding gently as he did. He tilted his head in consideration of her question. "Actually, I've been to a few gatherings. This would be.." The clicked his tongue as he thought, before meowing his decision. "My third. Since this is your first, I assume you're new around here? Thicketclan gives you a warm welcome!" He heartily laughed, before beginning to nibble at the mud between his claws again.

Dapplewhisker had been quietly grooming her fur, before she heard a cat approaching her. She flicked an ear towards them as acknowledgement, before turning to them with a wide grin. "Hi there!" She stretched out her forepaws, her tail waving excitedly behind her. She was mostly happy for Sunfoot, her first apprentice had become a warrior! The clan's first apprentice, for that matter! With a quick glance at the grumpy cream tom, she returned her gaze to the she-cat before her.

Morningstar with the leaders

Morningstar's amber gaze swiveled around to meet Soulstar's. "Tense? This gathering?" The orange tabby snorted. "I'm guessing you haven't been to very many gatherings have you?" Was he so easy to read? Morningstar gazed down into the mobs of cats, trying to calm himself a little. They'd get Sedgetail back. "Trust me. This gathering only seems a bit tense because of previous gatherings." Morningstar purposely ignored Soulstar's observation of his worry. The Skullclan leader had no business knowing any of Caveclan's troubles at the moment.

Woolyfur with the deputies

Woolyfur padded over to the deputies, greeting them with a small nod. Sitting down with them, he studied them quietly, his mind half on the gathering and more focused on the worry of Sedgetail being a Tumbleclan prisoner.

Shadedleaf with the medicine cats

Of Caveclan's highest ranking members, Shadedleaf was the only one calm and collected. She greeted the medicine cats with her usually cheery mew. "Hello! How's everyone doing?"

Shimmerpelt + Hawkfeather are open

Both Shimmerpelt and Harespring had insisted on coming to the gathering but Morningstar had made Harespring remain at camp. The orange leader had worried that Harespring's worry for Sedgetail would drive him to attack the Tumbleclan cats if the showed up.
Shimmerpelt had been allowed to go but only with a calming influence: Hawkfeather. He'd grown closer to his aunt and cousin since Shimmerpelt's kits had been told of the Tribe.

Chiveclaw + Lilystem tagged with Daisyskip of Leafclan

Noticing Birchwing's glare, Chiveclaw was about to say something but Frostpath had also noticed. Frostpath ushered the tom away, leaving Daisyskip alone. "We've been okay I guess. Several of use were injured during the battle and Woolyfur lost his sight in his left eye." Lilystem admitted. Both exchanged a glance, silently agreeing not to mention the flood or Sedgetail's disappearance.

[center]Whisperstar's fur prickled. Her cats had heard of the gathering, and there was no way to hide them from it now. She had brought them here tonight, praying to Starclan that no clan that remembered Iceclan would be there. Mainly her old ally clan Sootclan. She wondered silently if the alliance would hold, what with her being the only remaining cat from Iceclan? Granted when the alliance had been formed, she was the only cat in Iceclan, but still. Taking a deep breath, she thought well, now or never and led Lunarclan into the clearing below.

Whisperstar let her cats disperse, and walked carefully to the group of leaders, letting her tail rest just above the ground, her long fur dragging slightly as she walked slowly to the other leaders. She searched for familiar faces, and thought she was in the clear, then she saw Squirrelstar of Echoclan. That she-cat had a great memory, hopefully she wouldn't call Whisperstar out. Dipping her head to the leaders she mewed Hello there, I am Whisperstar, leader of Lunarclan. This is my clan's first gathering she made sure to not mention that it wasn't her first gathering, she didn't want to lie directly. After all, none of her cats had directly asked her if she was once leader of Iceclan, but she didn't want to spark any more memories than needed.


Whitefoot sat down a little ways away from the leader group, keeping an intent eye on Whisperstar. Ever since he had tailed her to the moonpool, he had been watching her even more carefully, waiting for her to slip up about what she was hiding.

Hawkwing and Shadowtail wandered the clearing, staring at all the cats.

Emberstar smiled at the look of awe on her kits' faces as they neared the clearing. The crowd of cats was now in sight and Pinepaw and Heatherpaw were incredibly excited, Pinepaw finally letting go of his mature, responsible self as he and his sister waited for their mother's permission to run off into the Gathering and have fun. The group at last reached the clearing, and Emberstar nodded to her kits with a smile, the two squealing happily before darting off into the throng. She felt a slight pang of worry, but quickly shrugged it off. They needed to have some fun by themselves, so she wasn't going to assign a warrior to look after them, she just hoped they wouldn't get lost in the crowd. She leapt up to the Great Rock, dipping her head in greeting to the other leaders.

Appleheart only saw a flash of dilute calico before Brindlecloud ran into him. The wind was knocked out of him and he fell to the ground, but he was smiling. "Hi Brindlecloud!"

Briardusk's smile grew as she found that the she-cat was quite friendly. "I'm Briardusk - of LeafClan. Who are you?"

At the mention of eye damage, Daisyskip found herself looking down at her paws, ashamed of her own ruined eye. "I'm sorry to hear that. Thank StarClan no one was killed."

"Well..." What was he supposed to say? Did Acornstream want to know his clan-mates' personalities? The territory? Major events as of late? "Well, it's nice. Territory's nice. It's forest with some fields." StarClan, Birchwing, you couldn't have said anything better? "And yeah, it is kinda big. And ForestClan?"

The white she-cat sighed as she gazed after Birchwing. Well, if he was going to be upset, there was nothing she could do about it. She began to wander around the clearing, looking at the cats gathered. This was a small Gathering, if anything.

"Do you think we'll meet someone?" Heatherpaw asked her brother excitedly. "Pfft, of course we will. With all this running around we're doing, we're bound to - oomph!" He collided with another cat. Heatherpaw gasped, "Pinepaw!" The spotted tabby hurried to his paws, keeping his gaze on the ground, stuttering, "S-sorry.... I w-wasn't looking where I-I was g-going..."

Honeystorm grinned when Briarstar licked his paw. An unconcious habit, it seemed. "Indeed I'm new," she agreed. "Thanks for the welcome." Her whiskers twitched when she saw him go at his paws again. "Must be tasty, eh? Anyways, My clan formed just a few moons ago. Not much happening, it seems."

A new molly entered the group and introduced herself as Whisperstar of Lunarclan, who was also at her first Gathering. "Hello, Whisperstar," Honeystar said cordially. "I'm Honeystar of Forestclan and this cat over here is Briarstar of Thicketclan." She flicked her ears towards Briarstar. "Do you have any news to report? That's what Gatherings are for, I believe."

"We're based in a forest," said Duckpelt. "It's beautiful. The pattern of sunlight through the trees..." Her voice was mildly wistful as she thought of her home. It certainly was a beautiful place.

Acornstream nodded in agreement. "So far, we don't have many warrior but the ones we do have are very nice." He nudged Duckpelt with a mildly goofy smile. "How many cats are in your clan?"

A pang of sorrow made Lilystem flinch when Daisyskip talked about no one dying. Chiveclaw nosed her soothingly, trying to comfort her before turning to Daisyskip. "Well that isn't entirely true." He corrected sadly. "Gingerface died during the battle. He was Woolyfur's son."

The pale ginger she-cat gasped before looking away. "I-I'm so sorry, I-I... I...." she trailed off, unsure of what to say. Well now she'd done it. She felt terrible for having reminded them of their clan-mate's death, and was considering walking away.

Birchwing paused for a minute to count. "LeafClan currently has thirty-one members," he stated proudly.

Briarstar made a face, spitting out a bit of grass and mud. "Not tasty, just necessary." He then followed Honeystar to the spotted leader she was now talking to. "Hello! Welcome to your first gathering!" He nodded the them, before returning a glance at Honeystar. "The announcements happen later. Normally I let the larger clans speak up first.. Then I'll put myself in there. There we announce important event, new allies, new enemies, and any wars." He added the last bit a little nervously, as he glanced around for the leaders of some of the warring clans. Beechclan, Tumbleclan, weren't those the two recent ones? Their leaders didn't seem to be here. A bit worrying. Hopefully they were fine! Still, he could feel some tension, so perhaps something was still happening?

She returned to her normal sitting position, eyes sparkling with excitement and curiousity. "What's your clan like?"

[center]Whisperstar smiled with relief at the leaders who spoke to her. Neither seemed to recognize her from her days of leading the clan on the snowy mountains. She nodded to the two leaders Thank you Honeystar and...er...what is your name? she asked the tom. And I do believe I'll let the other leaders start, to get a...feel of what I'm to say. Alright, so that last part wasn't really a lie. It had been so many moons since her last gathering, she wasn't sure what they were all saying these days.
