Apparently not! They can't spell "my" either.

Also, I never understood why some people spell words like "lazy" or "my" like "lazeh" or "meh". It makes no sense.

Am I correct to assume none of you have read My Immortal, the world's worst fanfic, which invented the Mary-Sue, left all readers dying in chatspeak and made the most horrible OOC characters? The strange thing is, it is like an internet pilgimidge... The bright side to reading it is you are left fluent in chatspeech. The downside is that you need brain-bleach and crates of n00b-be-gone.

Ooh, reminds me of a poster in my LA room. It says on one side of a book "books r lyk rly long txt msgs!" and on the other "rly?" Every time I see it I want to tear it down and into shreds.

I've read it. It was... Horrible in the least. Fanfiction is distasteful enough in my opinion, but My Immortal was illiterate, completely stupid, and made no sense. :l
I wouldn't surprised if it really was the origin of the Mary Sue.

Yes, I've read it. Oh, god. It's not even remotely close to HP. Professor Snap? Hargrid? Ugh.
"Fics" like that are the reason fan fiction has such a bad name. Most of them aren't close to that bad. THG ones that fill in characters' pasts? Most of those are pretty good.
(Possibly) Back after a long hiatus!

Worst parts of 'My Immortal'

I’m also a witch, and I go to a magic school called Hogwarts in England where I’m in the seventh year (I’m seventeen). I’m a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there.
-skip a few chatspeak parts-
“Hey Ebony!” shouted a voice. I looked up. It was…. Draco Malfoy!

THEY DIDN'T HAVE HOT TOPICS IN THE TIMES OF DRACO MALFOY BEING AROUND :(

“omg, I saw you talking to Draco Malfoy yesterday!” she said excitedly.

Last time I checked, omg is not something people say...especially if she says it like:
O-M-F-G

“Well, Good Charlotte are having a concert in Hogsmeade.” he told me.

Good Charlotte is a muggle band >:(

“Hi Ebony.” he said back. We walked into his flying black Mercedes-Benz (the license plate said 666) and flew to the place with the concert.

Riight, Draco Malfoy had a Benz. Riiiight..
