Son of a heathen

Sighing loudly once more, Bleakpelt got to his paws. He felt that he could argue no more with Blossomstep, feeling that she was far to adamant to listen to him. ''Listen to me, Blossomstep.'' Bleakpelt murmured, feeling the urge to try again, just one more time. ''Sagestar's taking the entire clan far away, really far away.'' and with that the silver tabby bade her a sad farewell, casting one last rain sodden smile her way. ''See you Blossomstep, and I beg you to follow your heart.'' Silently, he added 'As long as it's not me.'


Tumbleclan

Nodding slowly, Addercloud followed Sedgetail's gaze and landed her green eyes upon Smokefur. She was striding confidently, head held high, not even noticing just how shy and meek Burrwhisker really was. It sort of tore her heart to shreds, just a little. ''Thank you for listening, Sedgetail...I'll..I'll find your clan and inform them if you'd like?'' Addercloud offered, just as Burrwhisker padded solemnly up to the two. ''Uh...Hey...''

Freckleheart quietly made his way to Swiftclan territory to check on Sweetpaw. She was carrying his kits, and he wanted to make sure that she and their future kits were okay. Hopefully, he did not run into Sweetpaw's brothers.

"I hope so too. Blossomstep has been taking it pretty hard." Cloudwatcher responded, giving a small shake of her head. The she-cat gave a smile to the tom when he touched his tail to her shoulder. "Honestly, nothing really. Mostly thinking about when I can see you again." She responded, sending a playful wink his way. "What about you?" She added, tilting her head slightly.

Blossomstep felt a pain in her chest as he rose to his paws. Was he leaving her? Another sniffle escaped the cat and, by now, she was shaking from crying and the rain. "W-wait, Bleakpelt!" She spoke, rising to her paws and hurrying after him. Once she reached him, she nuzzled his face for the last time. "Please just.. be careful. I really care about you. I'm not going to forget about you, and you better not forget about me." She spoke, a stubbornness in her tone. Stepping away, she watched Bleakpelt with a sad look in her eyes. So this was it, huh? Never to see each other again. She never felt so alone. Drooping her tail, she started to make her way back to Obsidianclan.

Sedgetail (tagged with Tumbleclan)

The queen's kindness startled Sedgetail. She blinked gratefully at Addercloud. "Thank you." Sedgetail murmured, "If they've realized I'm missing by now, they probably have tracked my scent to the border. They won't be pleased to see a Tumbleclan cat so close to the border so make sure you aren't too close to the scent line." Addercloud already knew to keep to her side of the border but Sedgetail wanted to be sure no one would get hurt. The silver tabby looked up as Burrwhisker approached, falling quiet as she waited for him to say something other than hey.

Maplepaw gazed at tom, still thinking about her lost rabbit and how far it had led her past home but also just admiring how not like her brother he was. She was starting to give up on the tom-race, thinking they were a bunch of cats with nothing but jerkiness on the mind. But Sunpaw seemed kind enough... so far. "Oh.. haha, I was hunting you see, a stupid competition with my mouse-brained brother. I was chasing a rabbit. But I guess it got away from me." She shrugged awkwardly, honestly not comfortable being so far from home.

Hearthflame listened as Weaselstorm spoke, wondering if his heartbeat was pounding as loud as it sounded to him to the point that the tom beside him could hear it. That would require a lot of explaining and Hearthflame felt that admitting something like that would push Weaselstorm away. He couldn't have that. It'd possibly ruin him inside.. Thus he kept his feelings to himself, in hopes of keeping the only friend he had left. "Well, losing someone close to you can do that to a cat... I really hope she will be happy though. She's still young so maybe her heart will ebb from the pain." He said with a shrug, yellow gaze on that of his soaked fur feeling the cold starting to sink in but not caring much. "What about you? How have you been? And Skunknose?" He asked.

Addercloud nodded in response, taking in this stern and handy information. ''I'll be careful.'' the tabby replied, calling to Sedgetail over her shoulder. Within a few scant moments, Addercloud was racing over the moors and hills, the rain tickling her whiskers and her heart pounding with a mission in mind. Once the warrior had deemed herself close enough to the Caveclan border, she called out, loudly. ''I am Addercloud and I come with a message!''. Meanwhile, Burrwhisker blinked slowly at the silver tabby, admiring her as a friend for a few moments. It was terrible to see her trapped here, but really there was nothing he could to change Sagestar's mind. ''I...I'm such a terrible friend.'' he croaked suddenly. ''I could try to sneak you out...but....Smokefur's....''

The border patrol had been sent out to remark the borders but several of them wondered about Sedgetail as they neared the border. Willowpaw stuck close by Lilystem's side as a tabby she-cat bounded into view. Harespring narrowed his eyes, immediately distrustful of the queen. His claws were unsheathed but a stern look from Ferretclaw held him back from attacking the queen. Ferretclaw studied Addercloud warily, tail tip flicking. "What do you want? Why isn't Sagestar here delivering this message?" Ferretclaw scanned the land on the Tumbleclan side of the border, making sure this wasn't some kind of trick before looking back at Addercloud.

Sedgetail shook her head. "You know that would never happen. Too many cats would notice. And Smokefur would probably be the first to notice if I snuck out." However bad of an idea that was, it was tempting. Sedgetail missed her clanmates terribly. Studying Burrwhisker a moment, Sedgetail wondered just what Smokefur was doing to him. "How long am I to stay here?"

"I'll be right back then." Ratpaw mewed, a little relieved he wouldn't be going anywhere that wasn't home. He did feel a little regretful for not taking the chance to learn more about his new friend by hunting together, but at least he'd probably have more opportunities to hunt with him in the future? He wasn't sure, but the thought of it was nice. He nodded at Twoface before trotting off towards the nearest scent of prey: a vole, which he hoped was to the tom's liking as he moved into a hunting pounce position before leaping on the plump creature and taking it down. Ratpaw then returned to the StreamClan border and placed it at Twoface's paws. "Here you go!" He meowed. "I hope that's alright, vole's one of my favorites."

Weaselstorm hummed in agreement, time was capable of healing most wounds, that was something he knew from expierence. He just hated seeing his apprentice in pain, it didn't feel right to see her wear such a haunted expression, not at all. What made things worse was that he felt like he couldn't do anything for her, especially since she seemed so keen in hiding her burdens from him lately. "Shadepaw's a lot stronger then I was, she'll be alright." He mewed, staring outside at the rain which had begun to slow, his words sounded like he was trying to convince himself. With a sigh, he turned to face Hearthflame with a half-smile on his face. "I'm fine, maybe a little stressed, there's a lot of queens in the nursery." Weaselstorm was sure three queens wasn't considered 'a lot' to most, but to him it was way too big a number. "Skunknose is doing great, she's pretty happy to have her second litter." As soon as the words slipped out he winced, he never once told any cat outside his Clan about his former mentor's kits as he was afraid it would damage her reputation, he supposed he got too comfortable it slipped out.

Not every snake is venomous

''Sagestar doesn't know of this message.'' Addercloud replied, keeping her voice from wavering in fear. Watching the shuffling and cautious patrol of Caveclan warriors, she smiled sympathetically at the young apprentice. The tabby didn't want to seem as though she were an enemy, it'd not help her in delivering what she had promised to deliver. ''Sagestar has taken Sedgetail prisoner...there's no better way to explain it.'' Addercloud murmured, tensing as though they may spring upon her at any moment. ''She isn't hurt, and I doubt she'll be, but Sagestar has her prisoner.''

Nervous under her careful and studying stare, Burrwhisker was glad to have something to say. ''Truthfully, I don't know...maybe forever, maybe until Sagestar dies...'' he replied uncertainly. ''I'm sorry.'' Burrwhisker apologized, just as his sister sidled up to him. A sneer painted on her muzzle, Smokefur eyed Sedgetail carefully for a moment. ''Not lookin' your best, I see...''

Ferretclaw narrowed his eyes. Sagestar didn't know? There was a moment of shocked silence after Addercloud had finished speaking, broken only by Harespring's angry hiss. "Prisoner!? What for!? Sedgetail's done nothing wrong! Let her go!" The solid grey tom dug his claws into the ground, muscles tense as if he were going to snap and attack Addercloud. Ferretclaw frowned, laying his tail on the toms shoulder in an effort to calm him. "Care to explain why she's a prisoner?" Lilystem stared hard at Addercloud, still a bit startled by this. "The only reason I could think of for her being taken prisoner is that she crossed the border but Sedgetail knows better than to cross the border." Willowpaw had stiffened, but she made no sound. The fluffy black molly couldn't believe her mentor was a Tumbleclan prisoner.

Sedgetail frowned. Sagestar couldn't keep her prisoner forever, could he? No. Addercloud was talking to her clanmates. Morningstar wouldn't allow her to remain prisoner very long. The silver tabby glanced at Smokefur as the she-cat approached. "What do you want Smokefur?" She asked and avoiding a vicious retort. Speaking badly of Smokefur would not help her situation.
