Here I am trying to hoard the 2016 Christmas tress; but they're so hard! I'm over trading w/ 2010 uncommons and then almost every one has declined. I only have 8 ;-;

I want to finish my cat collection so I can just start hoarding. O.o so close, I have like 4 pages left. Except.... some are like, the ur ice cat, the ur Bengal. The ur sitting cat and the ur lion. WHY MUST THIS BE SO HARD.

I've been slowly going through my groups and placing all the pets I don't care for into my trade groups -- I used to want a full collection, but now I'm way more focused on my hoards + dreamies and that's it. I'm only keeping my favorite pets and hoards now. It's just taking forever to sort through all my groups D:

I'm seriously thinking about just dropping my collection and focus only on my hoards...
I mean, let's be realistic - with me refusing to overpay for certain pets, I won't be able to ever get them on the current market. No need to keep frustrating myself, right?

I actually did this earlier this year after months debating it. I found myself looking more for hoard pets than other non-hoard pets on my wishlist when searching through trade groups. I kept a few sentimental favourites that I couldn't bear to part with but almost everything else went into my trade groups.

At the moment my only non-hoard goals are to get a full zodiac set, a full 2009 staff pet set, and a full list collection. The last one seems highly unlikely to ever be finished however, because everyone expects ridiculously high prices for their lists. Plus I can never seem to fetch my list pets' worth when trading them.

I actually am so into hoarding now that I have started an Advent List hoard: currently at 6/20 Brown Cookie Advents!

Just do what makes you happy. I like my new goals, and though trading is still stressful, it doesn't make me want to pull my hair out quite as much. Plus, if you disband your collections, you will have a ton more fodder for all your hoards!

I don't think you have to completely get rid of all of your collection to focus on hoards

I like to have a complete collection from my join date (excluding URs) and still focus on hoards as well. I don't understand the 'one or the other mentality' to be honest.
Maybe its just me and an absolute complete collection never appealed to me. I honestly don't care for most of the 08 pets and their demand is crazy insane. I am not going to go out of my way to try to get them just to have them.

But then again I guess if you want huge hoards it would make it easier to get there ... I've never had a desire to create a huge hoard either. To each their own I guess

I honestly got rid of most of my collection simply because Id never liked a lot of them to begin with. I only collected them because I wanted a complete collection of uncommon+ pets once upon a time. It doesnt have to be all or nothing, and I for one still have non hoard goals. But for me personally an almost complete switch was what I wanted and felt would be my best option. And I havent regret it once since I did.

It really depends on everyone's personal beliefs and goals, just like you said.

I got rid of a ton of pets, just because I didn't like them. I also gave up trying to get a complete collection, again because I just didn't like the pets I still had to get. So now my collection is made up of hoards and pets that I really like. I'm much happier with simpler goals, and don't have to deal with the worst parts of CS trading!

It's a decision everyone has to make for themselves, but I am much happier for making it.
