Postby waterberry456 » Wed Sep 23, 2009 1:07 pm

Ok, so I had an idea to put two kinds of topics together. Maybe we can determine if our crushes like us....or maybe not. And have you guys read any great books?

I like:

House of the Scorpion
Warriors
The Tygrant Cat
The Clique
The Ashleys
e.t.c.

lol, good idea.

Kay, so my favorite books are the Twilight Saga, The Harry Potter series, The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod, the Warriors books, The Five Ancestors series, and He's Just Not That Into You (it's a totally HILARIOUS book, I was rofling all the way through it! ). So, I'm pretty much everywhere when it comes to books. As long as it has a good plot and is reasonably thick, I'll read it...or at least try to.

Alright, and here's the thing with my crush.
We met about a year ago at this drama club that we both do. He had the lead role last year, and I was basically just an extra (I'm not a bad actress, I just missed the auditions). It wasn't like a had a crush on him from the beginning; at first we didn't really talk much. I hung with my friends, and he kept to his. But then later we started talking and joking and stuff, and I started really liking him near the beginning of summer. We're basically friends now, but here's a problem. It's kinda really very sick. Like really.
He's almost a year younger than me. I'm 13, he's 12, and we're ten months apart.
I'm sick, aren't I? Just tell me. I can take it...

....Wow, I'm sick...

No you're not. I think that's sweet. Any signs he likes you?

I met one of my crushes at camp. This is going to be a sad story. He didn't die, though. He was about my age, and we were at camp. There are many other girls and boys, so he could've liked a different girl. But I thought he may like me. I'll tell you some reasons why in a sec. I couldn't help looking into his eyes, seeing the coco brown. I got his number, and then I was texting him. The next day he was sitting next to me, talking about his ex-gf. Then, after that, which was the next day, he got back together with her. I don't think he ever knew that I loved him. But who cares?

Reasons that I think he likes me:
he's nice to me
he always came to our table
out of the corner of my eye, I can see him looking at me
I read a horoscope and it said we were meant to be
he gave me a twix bar cuz he liked me more than this other girl before I knew him well
he put on the hat I was wearing

And then I have another crush.

He is at school and in popularity, he's so so. Kinda like me. He's just hot and nice. He plays football and I tend to talk about him a lot. I've had a crush on him for 2 or 3 years. I've just been a little shy.

Reasons he may like me:
we talked nonstop before
he let me wipe marker off his arm
he tells me about his dogs
he's winked outside maybe at me when we had a fire drill ( or maybe he was squinting )
I think he said my name for voting the best alliteration in computers.
he told me about the people on his bus ( he jsut told me out of nowhere )
I gave him cookies and he accepted
he gave me a gift, it was a pencil. lol
he hasn't wore his jeans lower than his legs since I agreed with my friends that it was weird
:D

Which one do you think likes me more?

Thanx, you're nice. :D

Okay, with your two crushes I honestly think that you should give up on the camp guy. If he flirted with you (and that's what he was doing) and then got back together with his girlfriend, then that's probably him being a tease. Or he's using his girlfriend to make you jealous - and really? Do you want to be with a guy who uses girls like that? :? I wouldn't.
The guy at school, though, sounds okay. He might just be trying to be your friend, but if he is, then he's a REALLY friendly friend ;)

There are sort of some signs that my crush likes me...sort of...
He has a sort of nickname for me. He calls me Laura because that's his cousin's name, and (apparently) I look like his cousin. So instead of calling me by my real name, he's just like "Hi Laura!" It's kinda cute, really...
He was with me whenever he could be - which actually wasn't often because he had the lead role in our play, so he was always either getting ready to go on stage, or he was on stage. But after practice, we'd always hand out and talk and stuff.
He asked me to sign his shirt...
So yeah, like I said, signs are sorta there, but I'm not really sure yet...

....Wow, I'm sick...

Why is that sick?

Well, I have read so many good books, but here are a few that I really liked.
Landon Snow series - Good plot, it wasn't really hard to understand and it had some great characters. I also liked that each character was different from the other, I don't like it when all the characters in a book are basically the same. It held my attention and I just couldn't put it down. To me a good book is one that, when I read it, the descriptions of the places are so good that I can imagine them vividly in my imagination. It also had animals in it, which I loved *grins*.
Nancy Drew books - I really like these books mainly because if you read them out of order they still make sense. Also, they're not really hard to understand and I'm able to read them quickly (I don't really like long, drawn-out books. They get boring after a while). Besides, I love mysteries.
Dragon Slippers & Dragon Flight - Recently I have been interested in fantasy books, mainly ones about dragons. This is a fun and interesting book with memorable characters. I loved how the plot was. Mystery, romance, betrayal, all those things were in these amazing two books! It held my attention and it is a book that I'd read many times again.
The Westing Game - This is a very... interesting book. It has a murder, mystery, and very witty characters. I laughed at least three times per page. It is confusing, but you can understand it at the same time. I haven't finished reading it yet, but I plan too real soon.
Old Yeller - My favorite book! It's not one of those books where the characters seem invincible and everyone lives "happily ever after". I liked the ending where they ended on a happy note, not a sad one like some books. There were many parts that I was laughing so hard at, so it's not one of those dreary books either. There's many parts that I was on the edge of my seat, so it definitely held my attention. It's overall a great book!

I don't have time to type about Crushes, but I will later. I promise!

Esp

I just thought it was sick. Maybe I'm being paranoid or something. :?

I've tried reading a few Nancy Drews, but I just couldn't get into them. :| I'll definitely check out the two dragon books, though. They sound really cool! 8-)

Yeah, I'm giving up on the camp guy. The school guy isn't in any of my classes and I don't know if he really likes me. Sounds like some good books here! :D I kinda enjoy talking about crushes or anything else here. My friends sometimes spill the beans. LOL. I don't take it rudely. I think it's funny. The camp guy knew I liked him until I said that I liked this guy from school. He got all tense. It was weird. :?

Oh well. I'm just happy I'm not a friendless loser. ;)

Awww...I heard about Old Yeller. Don't they have to shoot the doggie? :o

I got a book called " Sheep ". It's about a dog that is taken from his home and lives with a bunch of different people, each giving him a different name. It's pretty thin, but good so far.

Then I got " My Life in Pink and Green " which is about a girl that has something to do with makeup. I forget, I just glanced at the back cover.

I got both books at the bookfair.

They had Alphas by Lisi Harrison. It was by the same person who wrote " The Clique". I heard it's about 100 girls that all want to be "in". A person comes to town who determines who is alpha-material. They all go to this one school for Alphas. Looks good. I found it at the last minute.
