"... Master Barlow... He can take it off just by touching it... When he put it on, he mumbled a word that I couldn't hear..." Mayia said quietly. Mayia thought that Delphimire might be able to persuade Barlow to give up his little trick. She was told that only the master may take the chain off, but maybe it was a lie. Mayia had thought about it ever since she became his servant.

"A spell, eh? That won't be too hard. Where does this Master Barlow reside, exactly? I short truth spell will probably make him give it up...." Delphi was eager to play with somebody's mind, it was always amusing. The old man would either be dumber than a door-mouse or be completely obnoxious in the process of extracting secrets. Delphimire had only used the spell a couple of times, and she was always satisfied with her work.

[Mayiamaru]

Mayia looked the opposite way from the pond and lifting a frail hand to point to a hidden path beyong the bushes. "In the tree... He should be sleeping." Mayia said quietly. The clearing was actually just large enough to make it a farm. "I'd... like to save Huli and the other animals, too... If you don't mind..." Mayia said quietly. Hunter stepped in to translate. "Huli is the mule and the other animals should be in the barn. I'll handle them once you get the reversal spell from Barlow. He should have a book. It will be easier to get all the information you need." Hunter said, getting up. "Just follow me." He said, trotting towards the path. Mayia just didn't say anything as Hunter left, but her expression was quite sorrowful.

Delphi nodded and followed Hunter into the trees and bushes onto the path. It was still quite dark but the moon was still out. It was probably a bit after midnight. The girl's master was probably fast asleep, and Delphi hoped so. A dim light was in the distance. Delphi was going through the spell, "Karusta naphee duron, karusta naphee duron,"

Hunter blinked, looking up at the house. "Barlow has fallen asleep at his desk... What are you doing?" Hunter asked, unaware if that was some kind of new language or a spell of protection. The energy was right, but it still sounded strange to him. Hunter took a seat and looked at Delphimire as if she was daft or something.

"It's the spell, there's an extra word to it, but you wouldn't want me to make you tell me all your deep secrets now, do you? I also have another spell that I plan on using to make him black out. It's quite hilarious. They start to flail around and just," Delphi made an awkward plunking noise and stuck out her tongue.

[Mayiamaru]

"My secrets are Mayia's past. I don't care if you know them, but Mayia will most definitely care." Hunter said truthfully, stopping at the front steps of the tree house. "You can get in through the window and the book should still be on a podium in the back of the room. Good luck." Hunter said, waiting for Delphimire to make her move.

"Ah, alright." Delphimire crouched on her haunches and lept about two feet in the air and evaporated. She reappeared on the window sill. The old man was asleep at a desk. The room was dirty, there were papers tossed every which way and various assortments of cheeses were scattered around the sleeping Master Barlow. "Ah-hem."

Hunter sighed a little. "Even if he does wake up, he won't open the door for a cheshire cat. Take a close look at the walls, Delphimire." Hunter said, looking up at her. The walls had hides hanging from them. Hides of all kinds of creature, but upon closer inspection, a majority of the hides belonged to cheshires.
