Don stepped forward as the hawk grew closer to the pigeon. He didn't know much about birds, but he did know they relied heavily upon sight. He held one of his hands up, and soon the frightened bird vanished into thin air. The hawk seemed confused, worried about this sudden disappearance, and swooped back up. It flew to a nearby tree, keeping a close eye on the group.
Connor couldn't believe his eyes as Copernicus disappeared right in front of him! The hawk seemed to be just as surprised as him, but he didn't care about it. He cared about where his bird was and looked around frantically. Why had he just... disappeared like that? And now, he couldn't see him anywhere! Suddenly, a weight landed on his head and he heard nervous cooing. "Copernicus?" He tried to look up, unsure of what was on his head now.
