Murderers in Riverclan V.2 [Roster Update 10/30]

Rosepaw can usually be found sitting somewhere, staring at the camp entrance looking slightly distressed. She doesn't seem to want to do much of anything anymore and is sometimes heard muttering to herself that Robinfeather has to come back, if for nothing else but her. It's clear that she never believed he or Batfang could be capable of such a kill and that the killer is still in their midst.
She misses her old mentor.

Yawning loudly, Brairstar woke up. His dreams had been haunted by killers, stalking through the darkness with their eyes shining for bloodspill. The camp seemed just as dangerous as it did moons ago, the red tabby couldn't help but swallow nervously as he padded out of camp. It was there, beyond the river, he was met with a sight that would haunt him forever.

"Hemlocktail...Flinteyes!" He yelled, shaking slightly. The level-headed leader was no more, shaken to the core by the brutal way that they appeared to have been slain. "Starclan, no!"

Fawnslip was completely awaken and shook by Brairstar's yelling, and instinctively darted towards him despite not knowing why he yelled. "What happened?" He half yelled, half panted, to Brairstar once he was in ear range. He stopped and his gaze flickered once he was close enough, and his gaze soon set once he saw the horror that was Flinteye's and Hemlocktail's corpses. He started backing away and asked, "W-what happ-pened to them?"

Minnowpaw got to his paws when he heard Briarstar yowl. "Briarstar?" He meowed. "What's wrong?" And then he saw them. Hemlocktail and Flinteyes were corpses on the ground... but what was more disturbing was that they were part eaten. "Oh my StarClan..." Minnowpaw whispered. "We didn't exile the right cat, I believe." Minnowpaw was heartbroken. The two toms were so friendly and kind... Minnowpaw broke down then, crying. "Why them?"

When Flinteyes and Hemlocktail are found dead, Rosepaw stumbles away from them, feeling like she's going to hurl.
No,scratch that, she actually is going to hurl.
She races out of camp just in time, emptying the contents of her stomach just out and to the side of the camp.

Hearing no response, Birchclaw padded out of the den and followed Briarstar. When he saw the missing toms, he turned away. A death in battle to protect your family was honorable, but this... This was despicable. He walked up to Briarstar and said quietly, "They're in Starclan together, now." But his voice was hoarse and his claws were still unsheathed, unable to hide the horror and sadness he felt. "Who could have done this?" he whispered. "WHO?"

Minnowpaw headed back to the apprentices den, filled with anger, grief and sadness. wait a minute.. I smelled a riverclan's cat scent on the corpses! Minnowpaw shivered. If one of his own clanmates did it... Minnowpaw closed his eyes. He couldn't trust anyone, no matter what, not even his own mentor. Oh, why do you do this, StarClan? Minnowpaw thought, laying down.

Shaking his head solemnly, Brairstar looked unto his comrades. Fawnslip, Minnopaw and Birchclaw all looked equally mortified by the horrible sight, each of them puzzled, frightened and fearful for their lives. The red leader didn't blame them for their fear! It was a sign that a killer still walked among their ranks. ''That's some consolation for their horrid deaths.'' Brairstar sighed in reply to Birchclaw, turning to the noble warrior. ''But I have a feeling that far more deaths are soon to come.'' he admitted.

Turning away from the trio, Brairstar looked unto the heavens. There would be new stars in the sky tonight, he'd have to look out for them. ''I believe it was...'' A name was muttered, incomprehensible.

Rosepaw stumbles back into camp, avoiding looking at the pair as she skirts around the edges of the camp. She nearly looks like she's going to throw up again.
