High school for the arts

I knew this was silly, but I just didn't want to accept the fact that for the next few weeks I wouldn't be able to do much without help. "I'm sorry," I say, letting out a sigh as I watch him clean up the water. As he asks about watching a movie, I nod saying, "okay. We can do that."

"It's okay. It was only water. I will carry your cup to the other room. What would you like to watch? I am fine with anything you want to see." He said to her. "I am not picky." He said grabbing the two waters and taking them to the other room and sitting them on the table before sitting on the couch and turning on the movie channel.

I let out a sigh, watching him carry away my cup. I knew there was no way I could have carried it, but it still bothered me. Then again, this would be my life for the next 6-8 weeks. Grabbing my crutches, I make my way back into the living room, sitting down on the couch. "Maybe an action movie, or a horror movie," I tell him, feeling as if one of those could get my mind off of my leg, especially if I'm too scared to think about anything.

"Okay. This one looks good. It is a mixture of both but I don't want you to be scared all night...are you sure you want to watch this one?" He asked her. It did look really good and if she didn't want to now, he would probably watch it later because of the title alone. He had always liked scary movies so it was no surprise that he would be attracted to this one. He looked at her trying to read how she really felt about the movie.

"That one looks good," I tell him, looking at the movie he saw. "Horror movies don't scare me that much, I just don't like them, but I feel like watching one now," I explain to him, wondering if any of that made sense.

"Okay good." Eric said smiling at her. He turned it on and watched it as it started. He thought it was a pretty good one and he liked the plot line for the most part other than there being a few unanswered questions.

I move closer to him, laying my head down on his shoulder as he turned on the movie. I wasn't really watching it, horror movies never were my favorite. I would much rather go for an adventure story than a bunch of actors and actresses pretending to be scared. By the end of it, I was almost falling asleep, but I woke up at the sound of the tv turning off.

Eric smiled when she put her head on his shoulder and he put his arm around her. He watched the movie. It was a good movie and he really enjoyed it. He watched her fall asleep and looked up when the TV was turned off.

"That was a really good movie," I lie to him with a yawn, even though I knew he had seen me clearly sleeping. I did have a rough day today, so I had an excuse. Going back to school tomorrow was going to be difficult, but it would be worse the longer I waited.

"Yes it was. But I know you are lying. You slept through most of it." Eric said smiling at her. "You should go to bed. I know you are tired." He said to her. "You need sleep." He added. "You are going to have a long day tomorrow." He said and kissed her cheek.
