And thank you! I got her when she was about 2 pounds.... she grew like a weed. Also my first farm store bunny purchase. I couldn't resist, she was just too darn cute. xD She is coming on two years old now.

Love the new thread. Ah, new thread smell, lovin' it yas. Always loved the thread. It's always had such helpful and kind people, even before I got my bunny, on the 5th February 2017 <3 NEVER forgetting that date <3.Thank you so much to EVERYONE, including _breezy_star_ , Mira27 , The Mean Kitty , and thunderofthedrum.

I have a beautiful Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Aurora (Aura for short, and her full name is Aurora Willow Jay )

She is grey-blue, and you'll be hearing a LOT about her on this thread... xD
Just a quick question.....

Uh...Anyone? Does rabbit poop stink? Whenever I go like...Near her poop I smell this strong gross smell, and even when there's just ONE poo on the floor or something....How can I get rid of this? And my bun herself doesn't smell..?

New thread smell, yay!
I have a jet black (with a white patch on the bottom of her left back foot and a few white hairs mixed in on her back) doe called Biscuit! We did think she was a boy, but then I got her done and yeah......not a boy, lol. It was funny though, because everyone from my colleagues at the pet shop, to everyone at the vets all thought she was male. xD
I'm going to go get her out after I put the washing on the line.

LeiaWolfe Welcome to the new thread! Did you see my reply about scent glands in the old thread? I posted right before I made the new one. lol "Scent glands maybe? Sometimes they get crusty and smelly. lol They are like slit like things on each side of her lady bits. Might need to push some fur over. Usually you can unplug the scabby looking wax substance away with a damp cotton swab."

Polly44 I have heard so many gender mix up stories. It took me a while to get good at being able to tell. I can usually tell gender at around 6 weeks old now. lol But that took a few years of seeing many baby bits. hahaha

Rabbit.org is great- Isn't that the house rabbit society? They have excellent resources, from finding a local, bun-savvy vet to a list if veggies to bonding advice!!


I've been around over the years, but just in case for any newcomers:
I'm Trace (or Thunder), and I had my first rabbit when I was 14.
Currently I have a female Mini Rex named Kenna. She is turning 9 this summer and I love her to bits.
She even has her own Instagram if anyone is curious. XD

I'm an adult (and obviously so is Kenna), and she has always been a house bun after my previous buns met unfortunate fates with coyotes. I often check in (at least my PMs) if anyone needs help, whether buns or otherwise! (I'm also active on the relationship, periods, and adult advice threads).
