RVEC Suggestions Thread

Hi all! Just wanted to ask -- what kind of horses would you all like to see go up next? Should I just continue on with the Around the World event or put that on pause for a bit to make more horses you guys are interested in, and if so, what horses would you want to see? Should we do some sort of color event? A mass rescue? An auction? A pony event? Let me know so I can start getting them up and getting them adopted! <3

Maybe another soring rescue. As far as i know, we only have 2 foundation TWH and they are both stallions. The majority of the rest are from the same line and the ones that arent are Pure Adrenalines and they have been inactive for a while.

Do you think there would be enough interest in Tennessee Walkers to justify doing a large event for them?

I think it might get more people involved i, the TWH. Of course it doesnt have to be just for TWH, other gaited breeds could also be included. Or even a mass rescue event in general with multiple breeds would work well.

I'm not opposed to that in theory; however, I want to be careful not to swamp RVEC with a particular type of horse people aren't necessarily super excited about, which is where the whole question of gaited horses comes into play ^^' That's why I feel like a mass rescue with several gaited horses might be more effective than simply releasing five or six gaited horses at once; that way, we won't run into a problem of having several horses up for adoption and no one wanting them, since I can't gauge exactly how much interest there is in gaited breeds right now ^^' If there is a lot of interest, of course, that's fantastic, and I'll be happy to have a larger rescue event for just gaited horses later! <3

On this topic, I do think I'm going to open up a new option for breed associations: rescue sponsorships. For a fee, associations can rescue a number of horses of their breed (increasing in number as the price goes up) and RVEC will have them up for adoption, noting that they were rescued by the association that paid for them. It would be like requesting for a horse to be put up for adoption, except this way there are many more horses to help promote the breed, plus you're doing a good thing cx

Anyways, are there any other breeds you all would like to see pop up in a mass rescue event like that? ^^

but you also made a notice that the horses were going to cost 'money'
so should the colts and fillies cost more?
