What Are They?

- Loon griffins are a species of griffins with a pointy beak, long neck, long tail, and short stubby legs. They don't always appear that way though, sometimes they will have mutations that could make them look completely different from others. Some Griffs appear to have lion or bird tails, ears, more fur/feathers than others, scientists have even found miniature Loon Griffins (PPS)! They hope to find even more mutations as they go further into studying this species.
Due to the species of bird they come from, they are excellent swimmers, bit unlike normal loons, they can walk on land. They also don't mate for life, they can have up to 5 different mates in their lifespan.Their diet includes many types of fish, amphibians, and crustaceans. Their clutches consist of 1-2 eggs and the parents will take turns watching the eggs while the other goes out to catch food.
The species was founded March 14th, 2017 and is still sort of in development. This post will be updated from time to time as the species develops.
