Mrowing with amusement at the apprentice, she helped Tanglepaw up. "Your paws are getting tangled in the branches, little one! Your name really applies here!" She teased. "And Silversong is doing very well."

[flufferpie]

Tigerstorm purred, apparently amused, at the apprentice. " Eager to get your mentor, eh? I'm sure Brightstar will choose one for you very soon."

[Symphonia]

Peppersong nodded in agreement. "Yeah, I'm completely sure that you'll have a mentor soon. You never know, it may just be one of us." The she-cat meowed. I wonder if Brightstar will let me mentor Tanglepaw... she thought.

[flufferpie]

Tigerstorm nodded in agreement. "Yes, Pepperstorm, me you and Moonleaf are the next warriors to receive apprentices, I believe."

[Symphonia]

Peppersong nodded slowly. "Mhm, that's right. Every time I'm assigned an apprentice, I still feel the same excitement!" She meowed with bright eyes. It was true, she being an older warrior of the clan had mentored quite a few apprentices in the past. At the moment, though, she was just a warrior, and nothing more. Tanglepaw seemed like he had great potential to the she-cat, and she hoped to become his mentor.

Tigerstorm purred. "Yes, I know you've had quite a few apprentices in the past, as have I. But, I believe you have had a few more than me, as we were scarce last Leaf-Bare. Moonleaf has had one or two I believe." He said.

[Symphonia]

"Mhm, that's right. I can't help but wonder who Brightstar will chose for this apprentice." Peppersong said, her green eyes falling on Tanglepaw.

[flufferpie]

Tigerstorm agreed and then continued to silently wonder to himself if he would get his apprentice soon, too.

Peppersong stared across the vast Leafclan territory, wondering if there were any rogue cats about in the forest. She stood up. "I'm going to go off on a patrol." She called, disappearing into the trees and shadows.

Tigerstorm was about to tell her that she should probably inform Brightstar, when she ran off. Tigerstorm shrugged and walked back into camp. He took something off the pile and ate it. Then he went to go hunt. He heard movement up in a tree and he climbed up. He saw a large brown squirrel, but it didn't see him. Swiftly and silently, he took a few steps forward and pounced. He brought his kill back to the camp.

Moonleaf heard that Peppersong had gone onto patrol and she'd thought she would check the border, too. Moonleaf remarked the scents of their clan that had gone stale. She didn't hear or smell any noises that could possibly be more rogue cats, but she stayed on alert, just in case.
