YOUR QUESTION: Essay question is "Should vaccinations be mandatory for the good of all people?" My answer is yes, they should be mandatory; what are some reasons as to why they should be mandatory? Or benefits of being mandatory?

There's a vaccinations thread over in 18+ you can find good info in: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3108479 Or start by reading wiki - just make sure that you actually go read the sources wiki lists.

I HAVE A QUESTION!
TYPE OF QUESTION: Maths
YOUR QUESTION:
Image
I got the rate to be 65 and I'm happy with that part, but I'm a little unsure on the units I should use (thousands of dollars per barrel per day doesn't sound right to me and I don't know what to put), and how to interpret it for part (b)? Thanks for any help!

I agree with 65.

To find the units, put the units in your equation! You did (x thousands of dollars) / (x barrels per day) to find rate of change, right? Then yup! The units are thousands of dollars per barrels sold per day.

As for b, go through your steps, describe what's happening.
If even just 5 more barrels are sold a day, the company makes 65 thousand more dollars. That sounds like an interpretation to me.

I HAVE A QUESTION!
TYPE OF QUESTION: Math (Analytic Geometry)
YOUR QUESTION: A chord of length 6 is drawn on a circle with radius 7. How far from the centre of the circle is this chord? (Solve without drawing the shape on a grid)

The closest point to the centre would always be in the middle of the chord, no matter where it's placed. So basically you get a right triangle, consisting of half of the chord length, the radius of your circle and the distance from the centre to the middle of your chord.

Even though it says to solve this without drawing it, I find it much easier to understand when you actually try to draw it out.

So you know the length of one of the triangles sides (half of the chord), as well as the hypotenuse (the radius). And you can figure that remaining one out using the a^2+b^2=c^2 formula.

a= ?
b= 3
c= 7

a^2+3*3=7*7
a^2+9=49
a^2=49-9
a= the square root of 40, which is like 6.324......

I think I did that right, though I did it without drawing as well :')
